Public submissions have been called on the Te Awa Tupua (Whanganui River Claims Settlement) Bill.
The closing date for submissions was Wednesday, 6 July 2016
This bill gives effect to the Whanganui River Deed of Settlement signed on 5 August 2014, which settles the historical claims of Whanganui Iwi as they relate to the Whanganui River.
The bill is available online from the `Related links´ panel.
What do you need to know?
- Submissions are publicly released and published to the Parliament website. Only your name or organisation's name is required on a submission. Please keep your contact details separate, as if they are included on the submission they will become publicly available when the submission is released.
