This was a great novella. I do so enjoy Lisa’s work. Every book has its own unique juiciness!
Kali is not running, she’s moving on. Leaving her old life behind. Since her mother passed away everything just seemed to go downhill. Moving to Vegas for a better job, only to find out the job was eliminated, left Kali broke and desperate in a new city. She goes to a temp agency where they find her a position as an assistant in a very successful casino chain. Here she meets her sex on legs boss, Damion.
Damion is a man who knows what he wants and he wants Kali. Can they mix business with pleasure and still run a successful casino? Problems are stirring up in the casino and Kali’s past is coming to hound her.
Don’t miss this this delicious novella. It’s too good not to read.

From the moment Kali met Damion they clashed, crashed and burned each other to the very core. There was something about her that he could not resist and something about him that made her feel complete. The love that these two would end up sharing was inevitable, from the very moment they met they knew they would become more but instead of giving in to each other they both fought their desire.

The energy between Kali and Damion was an electric current of force that constantly pulled them back and forth but no matter how much their limits were tested, it only made this game of wits more intriguing for them.

Kali had to be a very strong women to endure this much sexiness on a daily basis, me personally, well I would have caved in about 2.3 seconds after I met him =) ! I couldn’t resist his charms or his sweetness and neither will you.

Together, these two lovers fill something in each other, something that has been void for too long. They give each other what they have needed all along and everything in the past becomes that, the past.

So much was given in this short novella yet I still feel incomplete. LRJ’s writing will touch you in a way only she can and does, like always you will end her story having felt every emotion of the characters but I need more of their story, I want more of their love. This is a heart felt, sappy, sexy, witty little love story that is sure to warm your heart just in time for the holidays.

This novella originated from the anthology Heating Up the Holidays. Should have kept that name because this is the perfect read to heat up your holiday. Play with me is a sweet and a quick hot read.
She is bruised but not broken. Her current situation is unemployed in a new town, but she is determined to make things work. Kali is a reporter by trade having to take a secretarial job to make ends meet. Lucky girl, she lands a job for a wealthy, handsome and very bossy man. Kali is ready to go head on with this challenge but is she prepared to work for someone who she has mutual attraction to? It won’t be easy; trust and her past will be their biggest issue.
Play with Me was such a fun and sexy read. I enjoyed Kali and Daimon’s story. I love that they both know what they want in life, and they just went for it including what they want from each other. There was very little angst and the steam factor is high, a typical for Ms. Jones’ books. Looking for a quickie this weekend? I recommend this novella.

Lisa again does a slam dunk. Those spicy sex scenes in the office will be forever engraved in my head. Can't think an office as being appropriate at least not with Damion around. I liked that Kali stayed around and didn't leave even after she was on lock down for the potential breach. What took me off my seat was that Damion was described like looking like Robert Downey Jr. I love him. Couldn't be happier. I loved the chemistry between them. They hardly knew each other but couldn't take there hands and eyes of each other. I was heart broken about what had happened to Damion's mother. Glad that he felt that helping the shelter out was the right thing to do for what they did for him the past. Kali unfortunately had too have an awful father and ex-boyfriend. That didn't stop her from looking for happiness. She went to another state to find a job that she felt she could grow and love. Love comes when you least expect it. Highly recommend this book.

Yet another amazing novella by Lisa Renee Jones. No wonder she is one of my top 5 favorite authors. Damion Ward and Kali Vegas style relationship is hot and sexy. As always, you cannot help but to fall in love with her characters.
Getting away from your past is hard to do...Kali uproots herself and moves to Vegas for her dream job only to find out she doesn't have it. Feeling she has no other options, Kali goes to a temp agency to try to find something. Then along comes the sexy and dominate Damion Ward and gives her a chance and hours her as his executive secretary to a successful casino/hotel. She takes the job only to find out that someone is stealing from casino.
The attraction is instant. The sex appeal is sizzling. The fight to deny is too hard (pun most definitely intended). Will it pass once the culprit(s) are found or could the save both themselves and the casino?

Play with Me by Lisa Renee Jones has left me speechless. I loved the character of Damion. Right away I felt that he worked all the time since his status. Then when Kali is introduced it was just like , yes I see this.
This book felt different than the inside out series BUT oh my, I want more of them. I really want to know more of both of their backgrounds.
I just loved it. I was smiling through lots of this book because of Damion. His heart is so big and I love that!!!
Lisa, this was an awesome book and can't wait for it to be on paperback to give as gifts. Thanks Lisa for this book and for a wonderful couple.

I can truly say this is some of Lisa Renee Jones best work and yes I do enjoy her books but this is THE ONE. The story is so believable and the storyline is so good, I can only say read it. Most importantly the the characters are so real you actually feel like you are watching a movie rather than reading a book. Oh did I mention that the book is an "Inferno". (still fanning myself) I totally loved Damion and Terrance very much the alpha males. This is a book to not only purchase for yourself but gift to a few of your friends. I do give this book a rating of 5.

I love it when two damaged or bruised souls meet and find they belong together. The pages incinerate in your hands as you read this story.
Kali is running from an alcoholic and abusive father. Damon is trying to succeed and move on from gut clenching loss of his mother 15 years ago. Time is supposed to heal all and as our couple soon finds out, giving of yourself to good endeavors help. Supporting a charity that helps the homeless, including teenagers, becomes a passion.
As always, Lisa Renee Jones delivers an exciting and passionate novella that provides quick entertainment for those of us that devour everything she writes.

I loved Play With Me! Kali is a strong, intelligent, and determined. She moves to Las Vegas to start over and winds up working for CEO Damion Ward. Damion is sexy, commanding, and confident. Kali is immediately attracted to Damion but tries to keep the relationship professional. As a reporter, Kali is interested in why Damion's previous personal assistant was fired and notices some strange behavior after starting her job. There's some mystery about Kali's past and the happenings at Damion's company. This was an engaging and complete story. If anything, I wish this was a full length book. I would have loved more to their story!

Expecting nothing less than a wonderful, spicy read from Lisa Renee Jones, I really didn’t expect one-two punch of Damion and Kali and how fast the story would take off between the two of them. Putting it bluntly, I’ll take on Damion any time, any day.
Damion Ward is a high-powered CEO with a sexy rating that is off the scale. Demanding, impossible, secretive … he knows what he wants and he goes after it. His specialty, finding thing that are broken and fix them – no matter the cost. But, as Ms. Miller walks into his office with head held high and no nonsense written across her face, he knows that he’s met his match. As a security breach is unveiled in the casino’s, as the truth about his past comes out, we find the loveable, sexy, oh-so-protective man that is hidden beneath the facade.
Kali Miller travels to Las Vegas from Texas, walking away from her father and ex-boyfriend, two cut-throat lawyers who would stop at nothing, to start a new life for herself. After re-building her self-esteem and a promise of true reporters job, she finds her self unemployed and looking for a temp job. When she agrees to the assignment, she had no idea that she would meet the man that would be her match, that would bring her to her knees and finally show her what it’s like to be truly loved and protected.
Sometimes a novella could have the reader wanting more. Not “Play With Me”! This is a one-sitting, hot read that you will not want to put down. My only disappointment was that it ended. The storyline and the characters are absolutely believable. She brought to life a man and woman who you could totally see taking on the roles that they did and falling in love with each other. The sexual tension between the two of them sizzles right off the pages and has you holding your breath waiting for “it” to happen. And, when it does, Dear Lord … it’s unbelievable. A flowing story, characters that are believable, a love story, steamy sex scenes, just what you expect from Lisa Renee Jones.

Lisa Renee Jones has the ability to make you fall in love with her characters very easily. Even if the story is a short novella.
Our hero and heroine are Kali Miller and Damion Ward. Kali has recently moved to Las Vegas from Texas. She needs a job pronto and when the opportunity to become the secretary to the CEO of one of the casinos becomes available she doesn't hesitate to take it.
When she meets Damion, she knows she's in trouble. She's to attracted to him but it seems like he needs her help after all. The more we get to know Damion the more we like him. Falling in love and in lust takes no time for these two.
Usually insta-love bothers me but in a short novella like this, it makes complete sense.
Pick up this gem and you won't be disappointed. It's also only 99 cents!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Play With Me in exchange for an honest review. It wasn't until I was several pages into the book that I realized the story sounded familiar. Sure enough, I had purchased Heating Up The Holidays 3-Story Bundle in October 2013 and one of the stories was Play With Me by Lisa Renee Jones. I don't EVER re-read books, but this book just pulled me in and wouldn't let me go until I finished it.
There is a reason why Lisa Renee Jones will always be one of my favorite authors. She writes awesome stories with characters that stay with you long after you are done with the book. Play With Me is a addictive, steamy, captivating, intriguing, and mysterious love story with a HEA. The physical attraction between Damion and Kali is white hot, their desire for one another an unstoppable force of nature. You can feel the sexual chemistry between them and you can't wait to see what happens.

Kali is trying to move on with her life after several difficult events happen in her life. She is alone due to these circumstances and is trying to start over in a new city. Desperate for work, Kali is hired for a temp job working for an extremely handsome, rich, and mysterious man, Damion Ward. Their connection is explosive and never fizzles. Kali is staying true to herself even though the hotness factor escalates. It's when Damion conveys not only his sexual attraction but he ultimately trusts her and values her intelligence that Kali feels safe enough to allow their connection to grow. Secondary characters only make this story better. Lisa Renee Jones does it again with a wonderfully romantic love story!!!

As Kali is in the air flying from Texas to Las Vegas for a job, the job is being terminated. So now that she in a new place with no job and not much money left In her savings she has to go try and get a temp job. While she is at the temp place she finds a job that she must start now if she wants the job.
Damion Ward is the CEO of a Casino and is looking for a secretary and needs one now. Kali decides to take that job because she needs the money to build a life there in Vegas. Kali jumps right in to her job at the Casino and finds thing that are not right with her new bosses pet project. Oh did I not tell you that Damion is hot and Kail knows it and that they can't stop thinking about each other. And Texas will come back to bite her. This is a great book. I tried to read it slow because I really did not want it to end. Lisa Renee Jones is awesome.

Kali is a woman who is escaping from a painful past and decides to start anew in Las Vegas leaving everything behind. Thinking she is start her new " dream job" she finds out that she doesn' t have one and has to start looking for a new job. She gets a job as the assistant to Damion Ward, the very handsome and dynamic CEO of Vantage casino. She finds him intensely attractive and apparently the feeling is mutual and they begin to develop a relationship, they share their painful past and try to build their foundation until someone from Kali's past shows up.
This is a standalone novella, I was not ready for it to end as soon as it did. As always Lisa Renee Jones draws the reader into the story with her characters where the reader just doesn't want to let go.

Play with Me is a novella that tells a lot of story. I normally don't like a lot of novellas, but Lisa Renee Jones has yet to disappoint me with one of hers. They are so well written that it's like reading a full length novel that doesn't take much time.
Play with Me is about Kali, a reporter turned secretary, and Damion, her sexy-as-all new boss. Even though it's not the job she wanted, she stumbles upon what could be the story to jumpstart her reporting career again. Will she go for the story, or fall for the man? Of course there are some serious fireworks between them, Play with Me is hot and simmering with the best kind of tension.
While this could have easily turned into a longer book, this novella is a read that will leave you satisfied. Definitely pick this one up!

ARC review. I was hooked on this story from the very beginning. I truly enjoyed reading this book. Kali and Damion have me captured. This is a story about a woman finding herself when she is on her last leg and learning to trust again. I was truly saddened when I read the last page of this book. I hope there are many more stories of Kali and Damion to come. This is a must read!!!!!!!!

This novella was one hot read! I enjoyed the relationship with Kali and Damion. The chemistry was great and I found the premise believable. I really rooted for them to stay together. I would like to see more of them in the future.

I wish this novella a full-length book, because I loved it! When I finished this novella, I was craving more of Damion and Kali. This was fun and steamy read that I devoured in one sitting. I enjoyed all of the characters because they were believable and well developed for a novella. The passion between Damion and Kali was so intense. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for them to finally kiss. When the finally gave into their desires I think my kindle started smoking due to the heat. Damion and Kali fell in love and along the way hit some bumps on the road that kept the story interesting. This novella does not disappoint, and I would recommend it to anyone look for a quick and romantic read.

Kali is starting over in Vegas, coming there for a new job that fell through, has her applying for another job - one she never expected, as secretary to a wealthy man.
Damion needs a new secretary, and asap, when Kali enters his casino. A woman used to standing on her own, she´s not intimidated at all by his stature. The scorching attraction, though, that´s something else entirely.

I received an advanced reading copy in exchanged for an honest review. This novella was fast-paced with a lot packed in, but I loved every minute of it. Kali and Damion are good for each other right from the start. Their personalities were vibrant and relatable and I wish I could know more of their story!

Color me surprised, but I really liked this book - despite its first-person narrative in present tense, which I usually dislike. Wonders never cease. :)

This story... Gahhhhh.... I wanted more, I wanted a better ending. I wanted more details. I just wanted more so only 3 stars. Only to realize when I went looking for more that it's a novella! Disappointed!

Damion Ward expects only perfection and when the temp agency sends him a reporter to fill in as his Executive Assistant he's skeptical. After all he's fighting conspiracies and sabotage from within his organisation.
Kali makes an instant impression on Mr Ward and lands herself the position of his assistant, and the instant attraction on more than one level is difficult to fight. Soon they cross the boundaries of Boss and Assistant but can they make it work?
