Holidays & Happy Times

The past 2 months have been filled with lots of family time, food, adventures, and most of all laughter. David is just as silly as ever these days, whether it be pretend-sleeping in his highchair, playing hide and seek, hugging franklin, peeing behind the curtain/chair, goofing at bath time, and just being David.

In November right around Thanksgiving, David and Gigi moved up to the Pre-Toddler room. He's done great so far - with the exception of drop-off, which is still a little bit of a challenge. But he's getting more brave every day, and shows us how much he loves it there when we pick him up and he greets us with giggles and hugs (and the request to go to the toddler room to get a ball) :)

And speaking of Gigi, here are some pics from their November play date. We also got to spend New Years with Gi and her parents Mark & Nicole. No pics of that date, but David was a party animal. He had no interest in going to bed when Gigi went down around 8, and daddy and I finally decided to get him home around 9:30; he finally decided to call it quits around 10-10:30. We are learning that David does not like feeling like he's missing out on a good time :)

David, being the lady's man that he is, also had a sleepover with his girl Alicia. Against the daddies' wishes, Amy and I decided to do bath time together :) The kiddos had a lot of fun splishing and splashing :)

We had a quick visit with cousin Cole at mom-mom and pop-pop's place. The boys were about the same size!

Then we went and visited our favorite cousin Karen (& Bob) and her pups Wilbur & Stanley. David got to go for a ride on Karen's chair (Wilma, decked out in lights early for Christmas :)) and play ball with his 2nd favorite doodle Stanley.

And we learned that going 2 months without a haircut is a little too long for our little hairclub president :)

David started Thanksgiving early with a feast at school.

And got to visit with his favorite teacher Miss Sam while she was home from college break :)

Somehow we failed to get many pics of the fam at thanksgiving :( But we spent it with Lauren, Sean, Cole, Mom-mom and Pop-pop, and Aunt Loren (AJ). And David had filet mignon for the first time, and LOVED it. (Thankfully pop-pop did an encore performance for Christmas..mmm). Here are 2 pics we got before dinner was served with the boys and mom-mom.

Thanksgiving Friday we went up to Connecticut to spend time with Nana & Grandpa and celebrate the first day of Hanukkah. David, true to form, wasn't interested in napping at his normal hour (too much fun to be had!), so took a snooze with Grandpa in the den. Love these shots :)

And here we are celebrating Hanukkah back at home.

Back at the homestead, David's been keeping us entertained...

Apparently David's quite handy with the broom!
Rainbow hunting :)

Hanging with daddy, in their matching jerseys :)
Playing ball with Franklin (it took a month or so, but they have gotten much better with actually playing WITH each other :))
David's first (of MANY) time in the snow :)
It's a lot harder to walk out here in the snow (in 20 layers)!
Santa brunch with Ben & Taishi
this guy needed to go back to the north pole.. horrible Santa!
the Mrs was a little nicer :) (we could at least get close enough for a picture)
:)
David loving the Christmas tree & all the fun ornaments
the game of sticking his finger up his nose to get a laugh...
First time coloring (at home) :)
