A woman is facing charges Friday after authorities said she was involved in two crashes and then ate marijuana found in her vehicle.Officials with the Florida Highway Patrol said Tavish Smith, 45, was involved in two crashes, including a hit-and-run.Watch the videoTroopers said when they found Smith, she had crashed into a ditch on U.S. Highway 1, was drunk and had marijuana on the floorboard of her truck.Investigators said Smith ate almost 12 grams of marijuana after asking troopers to go get her flip-flops from her vehicle.In surveillance video, Smith can be seen slipping out of her handcuffs, crawling through a dividing window between the back and front seats of the police car, grabbing the marijuana and eating it.At one point in the video, Smith can be seen coughing. That's when the trooper realized what happened.Trooper: Is it back here or did you eat it?Smith: I don't know what you're talking about.Trooper: So when I review the video, we have video back here, I'm not going to see you reaching in the front of my car and ingesting the marijuana?Smith: No.Troopers said Smith's actions landed her in more trouble with the law."It was about 13 grams of marijuana. It was a misdemeanor charge, but now because of her consuming that, it escalates to a felony," Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Kim Montes said.Smith was also charged with hit-and-run, drunken driving and driving on the wrong side of the road.

Troopers said when they found Smith, she had crashed into a ditch on U.S. Highway 1, was drunk and had marijuana on the floorboard of her truck.
