GYCL Cheerleading Expo is Foot-Stomping, Applause-Worthy FUN!

The GHS gymnasium bleachers were packed on Sunday night for the Greenwich Youth Cheerleading League expo. Two hours seemed to fly by in a matter of seconds with the fast-paced routines packed with tumbling and dance moves.

After Grace Barber did a beautiful job singing the National Anthem, Sue Ambrogio welcomed everyone and the cheering began. The squad from Southern Connecticut State University started things off with an energizing routine set to Space Jam.

The Spirit All-Stars Diamondites and Spirit All-Stars Onyx were next on the roster, followed by the Bantam Bulldogs, Bantam Crushers, Bantam Gators, Bantam Mavericks, Junior Bulldogs, Junior Crushers, Junior Mavericks, Bantam/Junior Raiders. Following the 50/50 raffle drawing and a brief intermission the remainder of the evening went by in a bright flash with GHS JV, followed by Junior/Senior Gators, Senior Bulldogs, Senior Crushers, Senior Mavericks, Senior Raiders, and, last, but not least the GHS Varsity Cheerleaders and combined GYCL 8th graders.
