The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has recently held CSR Recognition 2014 ceremony for the third consecutive year to honor 45 Thai listed companies which have shown their continuous commitment in operating business with social responsibility towards sustainability, integrating business operation with environmental, social, and governance considerations, becoming role models for others. This year, there are two special awards: Most Improved CSR Awards for three listed companies having shown outstanding social responsibilities development and Rising Star Awards for the company participating in the contest for the first year with outstanding and admirable performance.
SET President Kesara Manchusree said, “We hold CSR Recognition 2014 ceremony for the third consecutive year to honor and recognize 45 Thai listed firms prominent in CSR. The judging process of CSR Recognition award is similar to that used for CSR Awards (one of the SET Awards). The CSR Recognition Awards winners were invited to compete in the interview round of CSR awards. From these, 21 are eligible to compete in the final round of CSR awards (Best Corporate Social Responsibility Awards) of the SET Awards 2014 which will be held later. Sustainability integration has become an integral part of creating competitive capabilities, along the best practice in CSR, as a role model for other companies to follow.” (List of winners as attached)
SET truly appreciates the outstanding efforts and commitments of all the firms in operating with social responsibility, especially those winners of Most Improved CSR and Rising Star awards for their excellent practices and development.
The eight winners of Most Improved CSR and Rising Star awards are:
- Most Improved CSR Awards, granted to three listed companies having shown outstanding social responsibilities development. The three winners are Asian Phytoceuticals pcl (APCO), IRPC pcl (IRPC) and Padaeng Industry pcl (PDI).

“Thai listed firms are increasingly recognizing the importance of CSR, a road to sustainability. Many companies have substantially improved their CSR effort during the past year, using responsibility to stakeholders as a key component to reach their development goals and strategies. They set up a department responsible adding CSR into all managerial processes. More importantly, supports from company leaders are important factors in driving their CSR concept into practical implementation,” Kesara added.
SET Awards 2014 event will be held on November 27 in the SET building, Ratchadaphisek Road, Bangkok.
