VANDALIA, IL (KTVI) – There’s been a deadly train accident at the same time a Halloween parade was going on in downtown Vandalia, Illinois. A train hit a SUV at the 6th street crossing. Three people are confirmed dead, two have two are seriously injured and have been airlifted to the hospital. Two people in the vehicle were killed in the vehicle, two were injured. One pedestrian was killed by debris.
There were many eyewitnesses to this accident. The crash happened about 10 minutes before the parade was going to start.
