Blue Jackets prospect Sonny Milano may be committed to Boston College, but that doesn't mean it's a certainty he'll be playing there this fall.
There have been rumblings about Milano possibly playing in the OHL with the Plymouth Whalers next season, and the 2014 16th overall pick didn't exactly shoot them down.
It's tough to reach any conclusions on where he'll play with those quotes considering we don't know the context of them. That said, Blue Jackets beat writer Aaron Portzline is one of the best in the business and he doesn't seem fully convinced Milano is heading to Boston College.
I'll have more on this if and when Milano commits to the Plymouth Whalers, but I think it'd be a good move for him. They should be a quality team next season, and playing in the OHL would better prepare Milano for an NHL schedule. He'd have more games to develop his skills, and would be playing against players in his age group rather than seeing somewhat limited ice against men in some cases.
As someone who scouts OHL, I hope he makes the switch. This is definitely something worth keeping an eye on.
