Free festival, free of gluten

ShopRite of Marlton is hosting its Gluten Free Festival Saturday, Oct. 18.

Like the festival held last month at ShopRite of Medford, this one offers product samples and information from support services. Unlike the past, Gluten Free Garden State is joining the fun this time in an official capacity.

Held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the ShopRite on Route 70 in Evesham, the festival provides an opportunity to speak with representatives from the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness, the South Jersey Celiac Sprue Association and the Center for Celiac Disease at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

I'll be there too, available to talk with anyone whose interested. I'd love to hear your personal stories and exchange recommendations for our favorite foods and restaurants. Or, feel free to just say 'Hello.'

ShopRite has an in-store dietician who is knowledgeable about gluten-free diets, and it offers a big selection of celiac-friendly products. Free gluten-free samples will be given out throughout the store, and one can never go wrong with tasting new items.

The festival is free to attend. However, you may find yourself spending grocery money in the store after seeing everything ShopRite of Marlton has made available to celiacs.

Call the store at (856) 983-7370 for additional information.
