WHAT IS #ONEUNIVERSITY?

The 1U Coalition is a group of students, faculty, staff, and community members from all three campuses of the University of Michigan (Dearborn, Flint, and Ann Arbor).

We are campaigning for equitable resource allocation across all three campuses. Despite the fact that the University of Michigan sits on a massive surplus of funds, the UM-Flint and UM-Dearborn Campuses are not receiving nearly enough money to support their students, faculty, and staff.

Since Dearborn and Flint campuses sit within the University of Michigan and disproportionately represent lower-income students, Michigan-resident students of color, and first-generation students, we believe that the University President, the University Board of Regents and the Michigan state legislature have an obligation to fund them at more equitable levels.

Ann Arbor, Dearborn, and Flint campuses are governed by One President and One Board of Regents. We are fighting for One University that is fair and equal.
