Lady Bobcats topped by Clarion
GREENSBURG, Pa: The Lady Bobcats tennis team dropped to 0-2 on the young season after falling to NCAA Division II opponent Clarion University Sunday afternoon by a score of 8-1.
Pitt-Greensburg sophomore
Sydney Geary (Somerset, PA, Somerset) picked up the lone victory on Sunday, winning in a third set tiebreaker at #3 singles (1-6, 7-5, 10-7). Geary is now 2-0 on the season.
Shayla Landman (Mt. Pleasant, PA, Mt. Pleasant) fought hard at #1 singles before falling in a 2nd set tiebreaker 3-6, 6-7 (3-7).
The Bobcats will return to the court next Friday (Sept 5
th) when they host Washington and Jefferson College at Greensburg Racquet Club. Match time is set for 5:30pm.
