Men's Basketball Falls in Road Battle to Albright

Men's basketball was unable to come away with a victory as Widener fell to Albright 73-62 on the road in Reading, Pa.
 
Sardayah Sambo (Middletown, DE) recorded a team high 11 points for the Pride. The freshman guard added six rebounds and one block in 36 minutes played.
 
Guard Kendall Green (Mount Laurel, NJ) added ten points in 22 minutes played. The sophomore shot three-of-seven from the field and added six rebounds.
 
DeJuan Smith recorded a game high 23 points for Albright (7-10, 3-6 CC). On the glass, the Lions were led by Evan Smith, who recorded 13 rebounds. He finished the game with nine defensive boards for Albright.
 
Widener (9-10, 2-8 CC) held the slight advantage on the glass over the Lions, 37-36. The Pride recorded 15 points off of turnovers, and 40 points in the paint.
 
Sophomore John Fender (Wallingford, Pa) added ten points and two rebounds for Widener. He shot four-of-five from the field and two-of-two from the free throw line.
 
Widener will be back in action on Saturday at 5:00 pm when they travel to take on Messiah in Grantham, Pa.
