Men's Basketball Hosts Annual Basketball Day with Newburgh Boy Scouts and Pack 105

NEWBURGH, N.Y. - In an event that has become a yearly Knights in the Community tradition, the Mount Saint Mary College men's basketball team hosted the Newburgh Boy Scout Troop and Pack 105 for a day of basketball at the Kaplan Center this past week.

The Boy Scouts competed in games of basketball hot shot, knock-out, and three-on-three during their time in the gym. At the end of the session, each of the participants received a basketball jersey signed by the team and coaching staff.

"We have had Pack 105 here on campus for six years in a row now, and both our players and the kids always enjoy it. The guys look forward to having them here each and every year just as much as the kids look forward to coming. Being able to put smiles on all their faces is what it's all about. The entire group shoots around, participates in contests together and they all make a personal connection with each other that lasts forever. They remember all of the guys' names and their numbers and we see a lot of the kids and their families attending our games and supporting our team while wearing our jerseys and we are just glad and thankful to be able to return the support."
