Publisher Description
Life changes in the span of a heartbeat—one tiny heartbeat…
Blake
Layla taught me what it meant to truly love another person. I’d do anything for her.
But nothing prepared me for the lengths I’d go to for my baby.
Which is why I’m going to go home and deal with my family issues once and for all. I can’t move forward without resolving my past.
Running from the fight is not an option. Especially when I’m so close to having everything I never knew I wanted in my life…
Layla
At this stage in my pregnancy, the only thing I should be doing is preparing for the arrival of our baby.
Too bad someone from my past—someone who was there eighteen years ago when the course of my life was irrevocably altered—won’t let me relax.
So, while Blake is confronting his issues, I’ll do the same.
And when we’re done, maybe we can finally settle into the happily ever after we both so richly deserve…
A Father’s Fight, book 5 in the Fighting series, is an emotional, angsty, contemporary, steamy, sports/MMA romance novella with a guaranteed HEA (or rather, a continued HEA). Download today to revisit Blake and Layla.

Before you read this book you should really read Fighting to Forgive. Blake and Layla are awaiting the birth of their baby, but they are both keeping secrets trying to protect each other. Will they be able to resolve the things bothering them before their baby arrives?
Meh...
Continuation of book 2 (Layla and Blake’s love story)
This was only ok. We find out more about Layla’s back story. I was a bit disappointed in this book for a few reasons.
It starts out with Blake and Layla both keeping secrets from each other and that goes on 80% of the book. Personally I didn’t like that. The last book finished with them having a very strong relationship and now I was questioning it the whole book. They basically spend their time lying to each other.
Then we find out more about Layla’s past. The author tries to make us sympathetic to Trip (Axelle’s biological father) but honestly, all things considered, he raped her just the same... I really didn’t like this sympathy angle. I personally have none for that character. Even if he was young and didn’t realize, even if he felt remorse, not enough.
All in all, it was nice to get a glimpse of what they become, but they were my favorite couple of the whole series and I’m disappointed that this is what was in store for them.
