Do NOT use Florence Carpet and tile!!! They continuously misled me and outright lied for 4 months waiting on my $7000 carpet and tile order! When I finally canceled it, they told me I would have a refund by the next Monday...I didn't! Then the next Monday when I called for the 5th time to see why my check still had not arrived, they told me my carpet was in!! After 4 1/2 months, my installer was no longer available! After finally getting my carpet installed by FC&T, my installer came to install my tile, he asked where the reducers were. FC&T had failed to order the matching trim to connect my tiles to my carpet!! They totally made this a nightmare! On top of that, I was told by my installer that my carpet wasn't stretched tight enough and will have to be redone!!!!

I have been waiting 6 weeks for a simple stair runner that I was told would be here in 2-3 weeks tops! I can't get anyone to even return my phone calls and I am just about out of patience. If they don't return my phone call today (7/8/21) my order will be canceled and I will get full refund or I will seek legal counsel! I was warned not to use them but I decided to give them the benefit of my doubt! I am certainly regretting this decision now! Buyers please beware!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY AT FLORENCE, CARPET AND TILE! My family has always used this company and have never had a problem. Other family members have had trouble in the past two years but I decided to use them anyway. WHAT A MISTAKE! The salesman didn't give all the information on what needed to be moved for carpet installation and was very condescending(again, I have used them before AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM). He also never said I had to remove the sheets from the bed. THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO MOVE ALL FURNITURE, HE JUST SAID THEY WOULDN'T BOX ANYTHING UP! I told him everything was boxed up but there were a few boxes I couldn't lift. Then, he charged me $150 for not taking the sheets off the bed, which I just found out with a surpise email! The entire experience was nothing but problematic and a nightmare. I will never use FLORENCE, CARPET AND TILE again.

Florence Carpet & Tile was really great on installing my carpet and vinyl. The installers were super nice and cleaned up after themselves leaving me a clean floor. Also the staff was great at letting me ask questions about carpet and tile and prices. They were really super nice and got the job done great. I would recommend this company to all my family and friends. Excellent customer service.

Remember, don't buy a rug from these people. The owner was rude and refused to let us buy another rug at retail when we found two places in the rug that was unraveling. The rug cost us about $1800 . Also, the Karastan executive that we called was a jerk. They said they could cut off the area--cut it off! They said that the unravelling was caused by a vacuum cleaner! It was underneath the rug, and vacuuming doesn't touch that area!

Within a year our big rug, which cost about $1,800 and was a floor model, started unravellng on a corner underneath. We took it back and they took pictures of it and sent them to Karastan. A VP at Karastan told us that a vacuum cleaner did the damage. We never used an ordinary vacuum cleaner, just a carpet sweeper. Karastan didn't reply for months, and we had to press the matter. The warranty said that Karastan would "replace or repair" , so they said that they would send the rug back to cut the rug to get rid of the spot, not replace it. This was unacceptable to us, and we pressed for another rug, but the owner said that Karastan wouldn't do it, but he could have, but he didn't want to. We even said that we'd buy a new rug at full retail (over $2,000), but the owner wouldn't cooperate. He wanted Karastan to do handle the issue.
So, we took it to a carpet cleaner across from the store, and he said that he could patch up the spot that was unraveling. Guess what? Another area at the opposite end was unraveling, but we had the man repair that, too. The owner/president of Florence Carpet did not pay anything, although it wasn't but just $50.
I would caution anyone who deals with this company. Don't buy a floor model that has been hanging or sitting for a long time. Buy all new rugs. This company is not going to replace a faulty rug, no matter what you spend. We didn't like this, didn't like the VP at Karastan, and thought that the owner/president was uncooperative and greedy. So, be careful when dealing with this company and Karastan. - Kimberly A.Sherrills Ford, NC01Oct 26, 2014
I highly recommend you never do business with this company. The owner is extremely rude. We were having new flooring placed in rental property and they missed several install times when we did not have renters. When they finally did the install it was not insalled properly and part of the shoe molding was not even placed nor were thresholds. The owner complained because the installer had to clean up after himself. It then took 7 months to get it fixed. The installer said he would be there and then wouldn't come or would come and not fix the floor. On a regular basis the owner threatened to sue us, not really sure what he thought he was going to sue us for as the work was not completed. He then held our keys ransom so that we would pay him for the unfinished work. Avoid this business at all costs!

We purchased granite from Florence Carpet and Tile to update our kitchen recently. Their selection was great, and we chose our slab from one of the many that they had in stock. The delivery and installation was on-time and done right the first time. The granite looks great in our kitchen and the price was reasonable. It may not be as pretentious as other local stores, but we like the relaxed welcoming atmosphere and service we received. This was not our first experience with FC&T. A few years ago we purchased a spec house that was under construction. The contractor sent us to FC&T to select our countertops and carpeting. We met Van at the store (he is still there) and he helped us with our selections and then went to the house to do measurements. At the last minute, we decided we wanted a stair runner, which was not part of the original order. We were moving in mid December, and were hosting our extended family for Christmas. They got the carpeting in, and sent the installer out on the afternoon of Christmas Eve to get the runner installed in time. Excellent customer service.

Jennifer H., we thank you for your business and kind words. We stock a wide variety of granite, are glad we had the granite style you were looking for in stock. Van has more floor covering experience than anyone else in the area, and we like to say that he has floored half of Florence. Thanks again for taking the time to give us your feedback.
