Sage launches Final Accounts Online
Sage becomes first accountancy software vendor to offer final accounts online
SAGE has become the first accounting software vendor to provide a final accounts programme online with the launch of Final Accounts Online.
Built in conjunction with a panel of accountant design partners, it will allow accountants to access, edit and file final accounts for small businesses to HM Revenue & Customs and Companies House from multiple devices remotely.
The product is being made available to existing Sage customers from Monday 15 December, before going on general sale in March 2015.
Managing director of Sage’s accountants division Paul Tooth said: “This has been designed by accountants for accountants right from top to bottom. By taking the solution online, this will help foster more flexible ways of working and improve efficiency – thus opening up practices to more small business clients.”
In addition to the move to a cloud provision, Tooth emphasised offline functions will continue to be supported.
By the end of 2015, the company aims to provide its suite of tax functions via the cloud too.
