My Opinion:
This is an amazing story.
I loved it from the beginning to the end. Made me emotional in every word.
McKean made my heart skip a beat.
We start this story in Brandon's point of view (POV). We get to know how he is feeling with the things going on his life. And he introduces us to the Stone Angel.
The story then switches to Maura's POV. She knows nothing more than her own name. She doesn't know what happened to her or where she is.
This modern story about this Paranormal Romance is about Maura's story to find herself in this place.
To discover along with Maura what happened to her, to her life and why she has this "Temporal Amnesia" is the trip that I was surprisingly eager to enroll myself into.
The attraction between the main characters is incredible. They are really made for each other and they are the complement of each other. I mean its all about Romance. Its them vs the world.
The love scenes were sweet honey and the way this characters live their relation is PERFECT.
I could picture myself living some of those moments with my boyfriend and I must say that some of them made me sigh for how beautiful they are and some others just took my breathe away.
The characters...
First of all we have Brandon.
This boy who is so lost, not knowing what to do, what he wants. In this complicated relationship with his father and all this sentimentally illness he feels. That changes completely into this sweet charming prince that is unbelievably kind and perfect. But his inner growth and how he starts to deal with everything is a character to watch on.
Impossible not to fall in love with him. He has got a place in my heart.
And he deserves a banner (roughly done, I am no designer):
Maura is the protagonist of the story. She knows nothing about her life and she feels alone.
Walking in the night in middle of nowhere she had luck of Leona finding her.
She is strong willed and sometimes irritating for being way too good. There was a moment when I wanted to shout at her for being so naive.
Funny and Kind even when people looked differently at her.
She refuses to let her story fade away and disappear. She refuses her story to end.
Leona. She is the most perfect person in the world. She is a saint.
There is no way that people like her could exist in this real world, so I'm thankful to Marie McKean to give me someone to look after on how should I manage myself.
Leona is now a goal.
People like her should exist. And I swear, the world would be a better place to live.
She is really an Angel.
THE ENDING!!
ITS TOTALLY EMOTIONAL.
Surely made me cry.
As I was reading it... I felt so frustrated.
Its totally unexpected.
Can't agree more with that.
There are no better words to describe this ending.
But I'm still wondering...
What happened to Maura? Why she is in this place? How she got there?
I can't wait till I'm able to read more of Maura's story.
2016... Come fast please.

Pamela Nicole from A Writer's Tales wrote about this ending the following:
This ending fits and ties everything in a carefully placed ribbon. And ugly ribbon, but well-made.
