The Suspensory Salutation utilizes suspension, glide, and repetition to create stillness and ease while moving. Based loosely on the Sun Salutation, it is a terrific alternative for those not in love with this classic vinyasa, those interested in moving meditation, or for those who would simply like something different. Recommended: at least 1 year of asana practice.

About the instructor: Theresa Elliott is a nationally recognized practitioner and master teacher of yoga who has been instructing in the Pacific Northwest for more than 25 years. She creates and teaches her own unique content through humorous, no-nonsense instruction, delivered in plain English. In class, she cultivates Intellectual engagement and presence of mind through attention to the physical precision of yoga asana. โ€œWhyโ€ and โ€œwhat are we doingโ€ are continual themes in class as students come to understand the rules of the body, and then the rules for breaking the rules.
