CLEVELAND, Ohio -- On the night before Thanksgiving, LeBron James worked up an appetite.

Twenty-nine points. Ten rebounds. Eight assists. Thirty-six minutes. And the Cavaliers beat the Washington Wizards 113-87.

So?

He earned the right to break his diet.

"It will be broke," James said afterwards. "It will be broke tomorrow but I will be right back on it on Friday, I've gotta treat myself every now and again."

James famously dieted last summer, sticking to mostly meat, fish, fruits, and vegetables, with no dairy or sweets. He dropped 12 or so pounds and is down in the 250-pound range.

James said dinner at his house in Bath Township -- he didn't disclose what was being served, but, if he's going to break his diet then one can safely assume there will be more than turkey -- was not planned around the Dallas Cowboys-Philadelphia Eagles.

But James, a big Cowboys fan who also roots for the Cleveland Browns, has made an arrangement for the traditional Thanksgiving Day football game involving Dallas.

"My kids being away from me is scheduled around the Cowboy game," James said. "I need peace and quiet. Huge game. Me and Dion will pretty much be talkin' trash the whole game."

He was referring to Cavaliers guard Dion Waiters, a Philadelphia product.
