HOUSTON, Tx:  Former UPG baseball standout Dylin Brooks (Ardara, PA, Norwin) has been signed to a professional baseball contract by the Garden City Wind, of the Pecos League.  Brooks becomes the first Bobcat in program history to sign a professional baseball contract.

Brooks will report to the Wind, based in Western Kansas, in early May for a 70 game season that runs mid-May until the end of July. The Pecos League is an eight-team league with teams in Kansas, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado.  Garden City will be entering their inaugural season in the Pecos League in 2015.

As a member of the Bobcats, Dylin was a four-year starter in the middle infield, finishing his career as the All-Time leader in hits with 158 as well as career runs with 131 from 2011-2014.  Brooks earned All-AMCC honors his sophomore, junior and senior seasons and helped the Bobcats to their first ever AMCC Championship game appearance, and runner-up finish in 2014.
