Mark Sanchez led the Eagles to a resounding win over the Cowboys on Thursday, a victory that came two years after the infamous ‘Buttfumble’ that put Sanchez in Jets’ lore for some of the worst reasons.

After the game Sanchez reflected on the play that as For The Win’s Chris Strauss pointed out earlier this week, was in a game that wasn’t actually as bad as it’s remembered.

The answer is perfect — it’s hilarious and it’s true. And it puts the buttfumble in its proper place in Sanchez history: A bad play on a team that was having a terrible season.
