It was an almost DNF for me. I'm just in chapter 2 I think when I thought of not finishing this one. I thought of not finishing this 3 to 4 times. But since it was a short read, I finished it.
I really liked her book "The Hysterics" but this didn't work for me. Only Finn saved me from not finishing this one and bcause I really hate not to finish a book. Good thing this was only a novella.

I already loved Kristen Hope Mazzola when I started reading Stupid Hearts, but I was only familiar with her MC Romance series, The Unacceptables. Now I know Kristen writes short and sexy romantic comedies just as well as she does her darker MC romances. Stupid Hearts is a quick and delicious read with adorable characters.

Jolene (Joey) is having an off kind of day when she meets Seth. A year later it's nothing but sex games and an alcohol fueled kind of relationship. It ends very badly for Joey with a nasty surprise. She meets Finn in a bar during the last night of games with Seth.
Maybe its fate but another chance encounter with Finn happens over a job offer. Joey is a photographer and Finn happens to be a male model. This time it sets Joey and Finn on a hot and steamy path. Sometimes your knight in shining armor is an Irishman.
While a novella, I'm never disappointed by the storyline, or the characters that Kristen Hope Mazzola writes. I love Joey's cousin Brett and her dog Dozer. The characters are always people you can relate to or possibly know in your own life. Reality is the key to keep this book reviewer interested. I've always been a crime/thriller/mystery kind of reviewer. Kristen, along with a few other new indie authors, have helped me cross over to the romance genre with her writing.

Sexy, fun and utterly adorable. Stupid Hearts is a sexy stand-alone romantic comedy with fun, sexy and sassy characters and an adorable bull terrier named Dozer. I just love bullies! 5 Stars. It’s amazing.

A cute and fun story! I loved the connection between Joey and Finn. Joey has been unlucky in love for a while. When she meets Finn, his sexy accent has her swooning. Hopefully her stupid heart doesn't let her down this time. This was the first book I have read by Kristen Hope Mazzola, but it won't be the last.

I’m not a stranger to this author. I came across her while writing one of my own books and ended up caught in her Crashing series. What I am a stranger to is the fact that she’s released a couple of books I didn’t know about.
Stupid Hearts being one of them.
This was a super quick read. So quick in fact that I read it in one commute across town. But not so quick that I would say that it missed or left things out. Given that it was touted as a novella, it delivered quite the story in that time frame.
And while I’m no stranger to this authors steamy scenes, this one sure did turn the heat up quite a bit from her previous work (Unacceptable and Hysterics not withstanding as I’m reading them now lol).
When you’re writing novella’s you’ve got a limited amount of time to create a character connection for the reader. You’ve got a short window to make the reader fall in love with your characters as much as they fall in love with each other and that happens here. It doesn’t happen right away (at least with Joey) for me, but it does happen. I did become invested in wanting to see where she would end up, both alone and with her relationships.
Finn (aka Will Wallace), well I liked him from the start. Right from the first bar scene, there was something that just jumped out and made me hope that he was in this further down the line. That the man Joey is seen with from the start wouldn’t be the guy at the finish line.
Loved the addition of the secondary characters here. Both on Joey’s side and Finn’s. They added a nice dose of humor, along with Dozer the dog.
I got what I was after, with a little bit of humor and drama thrown in for good measure. I loved the happily ever after feel of this, despite its length and by the time I turned the last page, I felt pretty damn complete.
I’m so glad I came across this author again in my travels. I missed her writing style. Now I’ve got a stepbrother and a rockstar to contend with from her. That should be fun!
If you’re looking for a quick steamy read with just the right amount of romance thrown in to make your heart melt at times, you should definitely give this one a try.

Stupid Hearts was just the dose of sexy fun I needed! Jolene is a vivacious personality, unafraid to go after what she wants. She doesn’t do attachments and she prefers it that way until her free spirit finds her in a compromising situation. Returning to her regularly scheduled life as a photographer, she agrees to do a photo shoot, which brings her up close and personal with a familiar face. I absolutely loved this twist in the story and I felt a little giddy when I realized who had just come crashing back into Joey’s life. Finn was a fantastic character, enjoying his life and career when he becomes completely enraptured by Joey. Kristen Hope Mazzola did an incredible job crafting the chemistry between these two. From the moment they meet until the very last page the lust just radiates off of this couple. Their witty banter, sexy flirting, and sizzling hot moments had me permanently hooked.
Novellas are tricky given their limited length, but Kristen Hope Mazzola managed to tell Jolene and Finn’s story without making me feel as though I missed something. Both of them showed some character growth, and their relationship, while quick, was not rushed. Stupid Hearts felt like a new side of Kristen’s writing, definitely more romantic comedy than angst-filled love story. I quickly found myself enchanted by the humor, dialogue, and colorful characters that brought this story to life. Stupid Hearts is a short and easy read that will make you laugh and give you those familiar tingles that come along with unexpected love. This story was completely charming and unquestionably entertaining. Kristen has a voice that is young, fun, and fresh bringing a vibrancy and fearlessness to her writing that makes her story so addicting.

OMG this was a fun, fast , supremely sexy novella that I can definitely recommend. Joey is a photographer in New York who finds out that her super sexy constant hook-up is actually a married man using her for booty calls while in town. After finding this out she swears off men and of course that cannot last. Enter Finn, super sexy Irishman transplant who happens to be a cover model for the book cover she is shooting.
"Have dinner with me tonight?" "Sorry, you're a client now. I don't mix business and pleasure."
Finn and Joey have amazing chemistry right off the bat and waste no time in debating if that is a good thing or not. While not in a place for a relationship she can't seem to say no to how she feels about Finn and BAM extreme sexy time! I was shocked and excited with the quickness and provocativeness of this short read. I found Joey's personal proclivities exciting and fun.

Stupid Hearts is a must read if you enjoy erotic reads than this one is for you. Well written and humorous with characters I loved this story hit the spot on a night when I was in a bit of a funk. I read this entire story in one sitting and afterwards was left hoping that Kristen will write more erotic books in the future!

Jolene can't seem to catch a break today, someone in the luggage department of the plane decided to walk of with all of her panties and her favorite bullet vibrator. The customer service for the airline is no help so she hangs up and goes to get new ones but as she is getting into a cab that stops so is this really cute guy. She and Seth hit it off and begin to see each other when he comes to town and they play a game of her trying to pick up strangers. One night she tries to pick up a stranger and realizes he is one of the most gorgeous men she has ever seen, he begins to take to her with an Irish or Scottish accent so she calls him Sir William from the Braveheart movie until Seth comes over to stop it. This whole play acting makes the sex hotter for them but something about Sir William calls to her so she asked what was his name just as Seth was dragging her out and he says Finn. This won't be the last she sees of Finn. This story had some really hot sex scenes but some really funny stuff also.

Fue divertido, más allá de hilarante y fácil de leer.
no creo que vaya a ser el mejor libro de Kristen, pero el hecho de que se las arreglará para escribir algo "corto y erótico" me agrado bastante.
Siento que se pudo hacer mucho más por la historia, que daba para muchas más páginas y mucho más drama (?
No sé si es la romántica y la masoquista en mi que quiso más pero...
En fin, recomiendo el libro porque es de esos que puedes leer cuando estas en medio de una lectura pesada o porque acabas de salir de un libro y tienes resaca literaria.

I know this is a novella, and that is why the story is fast paced but damn the insta-love connection between Joey and Finn is way too fast (in my opinion) overall though, it was an enjoyable read that'll satisfy your needs (ha)

I should probably create a category just for Jolene. I loved her character's honesty and sense of humor. She was unique among female leads and this story was really all about her. The two main relationships of this story are still really all about her, which I loved. There was realism to it all, it was relate-able. I have friends just like her! A little bit hopeless romantic, a little bit crazy, a little bit guarded, and a lot of honest and funny! This is a quick read in that you just want to keep at it. We all need a Finn to come into our lives!

This story was going well - decent characters, snappy dialogue, humour, chemistry, you know, all the good stuff. But then the curse of the novella struck and it all just ended in what felt like a bit of a jarring rush. And that did affect my enjoyment of the story.

What a cute quick story. This has all of the elements I love. Instalove, swoony men, a level of angst and a feel good story line.
