This seminar is organized by the Asia-Pacific Research and Training Network on Trade (ARTNeT) of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), in collaboration with the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Canada, the Centre for WTO Studies, India, and Yangon University of Economics. 

The objective of the meeting is to build capacity of local researchers so that they can better help in producing the high quality analytical inputs required for evidence-based policymaking. The seminar will include presentations from the Yangon University of Economics faculty as well as international trade experts who will discuss research methodologies in this regard. A part of the seminar is dedicated to training sessions related to services trade and regulatory reforms.
