A couple of times while driving the Mount Evans Highway, I found groups of Mountain Goats grazing along the slopes, in beautiful wildflowers. This group was captured at Summit Lake, about 5 miles from the summit:
I love catching about any wildlife in wildflowers. The contrast of the wildflowers and the wildlife always makes the images more interesting to me. And surprisingly, the above adult mountain goat has lost very little of it’s winter coat, even though these images were captured towards the end of July! Most of the goats I saw had a great deal of their coat already gone, giving way to their new coats growing in.
