JACKSON, Tenn. – The Union University women's cross country team in No. 2 for a third straight week in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Region Rankings. Union started fourth in the preseason poll, then moved up to third for two consecutive weeks, and are now sitting in second behind Tampa (Fla.), the defending region champions.
 
Union has not raced since their first place finish at the University of West Georgia Invitational back on October 11. The next race for Union will be their final regular season race of the year, the Mississippi College Division II Challenge, October 25. Union will then set their sights on the Gulf South Conference Championship Meet, November 8 in Birmingham, Ala.
