George Mason women's basketball hits the road for the first time this season as the Patriots face Navy Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Alumni Hall.  Though the Patriots and Midshipmen have a long history including 10 prior meetings dating back to 1977, this will mark the first meeting since early 1989 when the Patriots took a 59-44 win in Fairfax.

Heading into the match-up Navy holds a 6-4 series lead including a 3-1 advantage in Annapolis, including a 67-58 win the last game at Navy on January 23, 1988. The Patriots lone series road win came in the form of a narrow 66-65 win on December12, 1981.

Mason is coming off back-to-back wins, after a record setting 110-91 win over Delaware State last Wednesday followed by a 71-61 win over College of Charleston on Sunday. The Patriots currently have four players averaging double-figure scoring, led by redshirt junior Taylor Brown with 23 points per game.

The Midshipmen have split decisions last week with a 79-59 win against Mary Washington on Wednesday followed by a 60-51 loss to Penn Sunday, both at home. Navy is led by Sarah Reilly averaging 10 points and nine rebounds per game.

Mason will continue traveling this week, heading to the UMKC Plaza Lights Classic where the Patriots are set to face Abliene Christian Friday followed by Mississippi Valley State on Saturday.
