Brussels, the capital of Belgium, as well as the self-styled capital of Europe, hosts the headquarters of NATO and a number of European Union institutions. It is known throughout the world for its gastronomy as well as for its art, historical and archaeological landmarks, a number being UNESCO World Heritage sites.
The 2020 Connectathon Week venue is the Autoworld Centre that dates from 1880, being built for the 50th anniversary of Belgium’s independence. It is located on the historic Cinquantenaire site, a green oasis within the centre, peppered with monuments and museums. Today Autoworld is a permanent museum dedicated to the history of the automobile with the venue, comprising a vast glass centre supported by metallic structures, mainly used for exhibitions and conferences.
Not only is it ideally situated for the Connectathon Week delegates it is perfectly resourced to handle the suite of events in the 2020 Connectathon Week that is attracting an ever-increasing number of attendees.

Karlien Erauw, Vendor Co-Chair for IHE-Belgium, commented, “IHE-Belgium is delighted that Brussels will host the renowned week-long, 20th Anniversary IHE-Europe Connectathon and appropriately for the first time in Belgium.
If you are active in Digital eHealth, but have yet to participate in the Connectathon Week, I strongly recommend you plan to attend Brussels in 2020 and bookmark the website. There is no better way to spend a few days, or even a week, than networking and learning both with and from like-minded people, peers, interoperability experts and thought leaders”.
