Thank you for your interest in the 4th Annual Maqtoberfest!

This event will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 and will include vendors, activities, performers and food & beverage trucks in downtown Maquoketa in the Green Space (137 S. Main St., Maquoketa) and along Main Street.

Locations:
* Vendors set up along Main Street in Maquoketa using marked parking spaces
* Activities and information booths set up in the Downtown Green Space
* Local performers will be on a stage at the north end of the 100 block of South Main Street

Time:
* Open to the public 11 am to 2 pm
* Set-up begins at 8 am

VENDOR INFORMATION

Are you an artist, crafter, DIY-er, baker or gardener? You can sell your wares at Maqtoberfest.

* Items need to be made, baked, or grown by you. Assemblage or collage is ok. Re-selling of wholesale or franchise merchandise is NOT ok.
* We are part of the Maquoketa Farmers Market - if you are a season vendor there, you can sell at Maqtoberfest for no additional fees or insurance (but please let us know if you're interested).
* Others: $25 vendor fee plus a liability insurance certificate naming Maquoketa Farmers Market - this can be from an existing homeowners, commercial or other liability policy with $1,000,000 of coverage. See your insurance agent for a certificate.
* You are responsible for your own sales tax and/or other permits or certificates. A City of Maquoketa peddler's permit is NOT required for this event.

GREEN SPACE ACTIVITIES

Are you a local organization or nonprofit or other group? Would you like to offer educational information or an activity? We'd love to see you at Maqtoberfest!

This could be an information and/or promotion table for your group or service. It could be a make-and-take arts or crafts activity or game or other activity. It could be a demo or display of your product, service, or talent.

While these are not selling opportunities, your tip jar is welcome. Offering an item for a freewill donation to your organization or cause is also welcome. Last year, there were crowds of kids (and kids of all ages) having fun in the Green Space between 11 and 2.

LOCAL STAGE PERFORMERS

Calling all:  Singers dancers, instrumentalists, bands, soloists, groups, poets, actors, improv performers, rappers, spoken word artists, etc. -- We'll be featuring local (Maquoketa, Jackson County, Eastern Iowa, Tri-State) performers on our Main Street Stage. Short sets welcome! Performance times from 11 am to at least 2 pm. Note that this is not a paid gig.
