24 Diner, from the people behind (Irene’s and Italic, serves Southern comfort food - a food of the people. As the name implies, it's open 24 hours. It’s a hop and a skip away from the clusterf*ck of downtown Austin nightlife, making it a viable buoy when the bars close. It's especially good to get that late night chicken and waffle fix. The brunch here is solid, and on Sundays there's often a wait.

Chicken and Waffles
This is by far the best thing on their menu, and is 24 Diner’s saving grace. Clocking in at sixteen dollars, it isn’t cheap. But if you’re not getting this, then you should probably go elsewhere.
Frittatas
Don’t order any of these. All overcooked, all unworthy of your time.
Biscuits and Gravy
A very tasty dish. Then again, you already knew it would be. Sadly it’s only available on Saturdays and Sundays for reasons unknown.
