I was pulled right into this story. This is a 3 part story so be prepared to get all 3 parts. The story has laughs, suspense, secrets, naughty fun, and heartbreak.

Before reading this story please read the below books first
Hero - The Assignment: A Military Romance (Hero: Special Forces Romance #1)

This is the second part of Leighton and Haze’s story. The back and forth with these two is crazy. They are so right for each other but just love to push each other’s buttons. Leighton is with her so called boyfriend and if not with him she is with her best friend. Honestly I think her best friend is involved in the drama and threats. Can Haze save her from herself? The more she runs to Ricky and Paris the more she is hurt. Can she realize that if she is not careful even more people will be hurting? Can Haze really protect her?

I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.

Superficially, Leighton is the epitome of the spoiled lil rich girl ... truthfully, she's a broken child who has no idea how to handle what life has thrown at her. Haze is the disabled vet turned bodyguard who is still trying to find his ultimate purpose. Leighton's life is in danger, Haze is fighting the battle between his duty as her bodyguard and his heart. M S Parker has entwined the story so neatly, I wasn't able to put this one down. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Hero: The Ambush is book 2 in the Hero Special Forces Romance series was a great 4 star read.
Romance, Spoiled rich girl, Hot alpha

description

I’d never be anything more than an empty-headed heiress, and the best I could do was enjoy it and live up to my reputation. It was safer that way.

This was a very up and down read. Leighton was all over the place and Haze struggled keeping her safe.

Haze has been hired to be Leighton's bodyguard. Leighton is also the girl he had a one night stand with four years prior. Not only does he have to deal with her snarky, spoiled rich bi@tch attitude he has to deal with his feelings for her as well.

"Except, if I was honest with myself, the kiss was also why I couldn't leave her now." "She needed me. Even if she'd never admit it, she did."

To try and cover up her hurt feelings Leighton pushes the envelope and parties hard and has a hookup with her ex-boyfriend to try and get Haze out of her mind.
Haze and her grandfather are keeping an important secret from her? Which explains why Haze is so hell bent on keeping her safe.

The blackness I’d thought was an alcohol-induced sleep was actually a dark room. An empty, dark room. And I was all alone.

I really enjoyed the story, I’m not sure if I would have been as patient with Leighton as Haze was. She was such a little Bi@@h to him. The sexual tension and chemistry was off the charts. I really liked the secondary characters although her friend Paris and on and off again boyfriend Ricky can fall of the face of the earth. Of course we are left with a huge cliffhanger. I can’t wait for book 3.
1-click this great series today and get caught up on Haze and Leighton’s story.
Thank you M.S. Parker for another great read.

This is book 2 in the new HERO series by M S Parker and should be read after book 1 as this book starts right up after book 1 ended. And for all our benefits: ALL 3 books in this series are AVAILABLE NOW!!! No waiting weeks or months to get to finish.

Book 1 was a fab setup story, so make sure to start there!

It's been 4 years...and Haze Welch is back in LA and he has to babysit Leighton...she acts like a freaking baby, spoiled rotten and living down to everyone's expectations. Haze is having a difficult time adjusting to the fact that he's around Leighton constantly, and he catches that "look" in her eyes...the one that let's him know that she really is more than what everyone see's.

They have an off mostly-on once in a while relationship and neither one can really step up. Leighton keeps blaming Haze, while Haze blames himself and the way Leighton acts...if both of them would just grow up!

This book was a little too back n forth for me. I was getting tired of the play-girl Leighton and always running away from Haze and running to Ricky and Paris when all they do is hurt her.

I can't wait for things to pick up (like with Dean) so we can really get into the action part of the story. I kinda like the way Paris set up Leighton last...and I hope they use it...Oops...but there goes Leighton again...and what??? finally??? She wakes up foggy for a real reason...not just the hangover. Can't wait to see how things pick up in book 3...that's where I'm headed right now!

This series is just getting more intense and interesting by the minute, I loved how everything was falling into place. I still do feel for Leighton because in a way the main reason for her acting out could be to do with her not grieving properly over her parents, I understand that she needed a way to escape the world, but surly she would have thought through it all. However I get why she done it, I know that she doesn’t exactly like what’s happening in her life as she feels that she has no purpose to it. I just wish that Haze would be able to help her see through it all and be able to make something of her life.

Haze on the other hand still amazes me, the fact he will do anything to protect Leighton is just incredible. I know that his job description is just to make sure that she is safe but he does such an expert job at it. He can clearly see through all of her friends and her act and I think that they would make sure a perfect couple, however neither of them can get past what happened their first night 4 years ago.

I just love how everything happened in this book as I don’t think that Leighton realises how much her life could change just like that. If I could put into words how much this book drew me in and how it made me feel I would do that but I never seem to be able to find the words when I read any of M.S. Parkers to just tell you how good her books are. If I was you I would go and grab your copy of this series and read it. You won’t be sorry or disappointed.

I love this author. Ever since I stumbled upon one of her naughty serial series, I have become addicted. Each time she has a new release, I am first in line to grab and review. Her books are crazy hot, sexy, intense, and always full of suspense. This is the second book in a series so be warned. Typical of this author, she pulls out all the stops in her new military romance.

This book was really good. Full of intensity, suspense, and passion, this author takes us on a whirlwind ride that will leave you breathless. This book was sexy, sweet, intense, passionate, suspenseful, and brilliantly written. This book was an unexpected surprise from this author, definitely a new top favorite of mine, and I absolutely cannot wait until the last is released.

This is the continuation of Leighton and Haze’s story. Picking up where book one left off, we are thrown back into their lives. Let the drama and suspense begin to unfold. These two have tons of chemistry but in the world they are in, fake is normal and real is not. This author gave us an amazing installment and threw a few twists our way to keep us on our toes until the last word...

I highly recommend this book and series.

I have to come across a book by M.S. Parker that I haven't absolutely LOVED, and Hero-The Ambush is no exception. Haze Welch served his country in the Special Forces until he was injured saving others. Now he's the body guard, aka babysitter, to spoiled heiress Leighton Machus. He's earning his paycheck as the party girl does whatever she wants when she wants to. His biggest challenge is the fact that she's the one night stand that he could never get out of his head, but he's determined to keep it professional. When a threat is stalking Leighton, he must ignore his feelings to keep her safe before it's too late.

This is a fantastic series. The character development is absolutely fantastic, as each layer is slowly revealed. Not that I wasn't conflicted about Leighton, because she drove me crazy a bunch but somehow I still loved her. A fast paced, exciting and well written story line flows perfectly. As usual, M.S. Parker's sexy scene goodness is EXPLOSIVELY HOT, while her twists and turns are brilliantly diabolical, and always have great shock value. I can't say it enough, that I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book and series!

The chemistry and games between Haze and Leighton continues in this book.

Haze - has been hired to "babysit" little rich girl Leighton, whom he just happened to sleep with four years ago. He can't get that episode off his mind, but must so he can do his job of protecting her. Her life is in danger and she has no clue that it is. Apparently her grandfather and Haze decide to keep that from her. For her own protection, of course.

Leighton - spoiled little rich girl who needs a babysitter. She's very irresponsible and her grandfather wants her protected. Of course, the guard he hires was a hot Special Forces hotty, that she slept with! UGH!!

The chemistry between these two is so ridiculous, that it's almost funny! Both are so stubborn! I feel like I'm watching a tennis match with these two going back and forth!

I love all the characters in this book! Although I felt like strangling them, they way MS Parker describes them, you gotta love them! This was a great read and I couldn't wait to get to the end, but sad when I did! I look forward to the final book in this series!

Seriously could not put this book down until it was done. The suspense, the danger and the sexual pull between Haze and Leighton, it's a wonder either could function day to day.

"He saw me. Saw me for who I really was and not for who everyone else thought I was, or thought I should be. I was enough for him, just as I was, and he only wanted me to be better because he knew that the mask I wore wasn't real."

"Except, if I was honest with myself, the kiss was also why I couldn't leave her now." "She needed me. Even if she'd never admit it, she did."

"I couldn't deny if anymore. I was jealous of anyone who could caress Leighton, catch her scent, kiss her lips, or press against her warmth..."

Incredible story, and cliffhanger, Haze is a saint to put up with Leighton's games, but the real test is yet to come.

This book was gifted by the author for an honest review.

We hop right back into the story in book 2 and it's just sooooo good!!!

In most 3-part series, book 2 is where all the action happens. Ms. Parker does not disappoint! The action in this book is so good!! LOVED!!

Leighton & Haze are still fighting the feelings they have for each other. They seem to be on the same page only when something really terrible happens and they need someone to comfort them....or comfort someone else. This has is perks but it will make you scream at your kindle. The back and forth was making me crazy. What she puts him through is awful and he puts up with it all because he loves her so much! I can tell you I've read book 3 already......and there is a point to it all. I promise!!!

Leave it to Ms. Parker to make us yell, scream and cry all over our kindles and she did it again with this Hero series!!! Simply Wonderful!!!

Highly Recommend!!!

A great continuation of this series. M.S. Parker always seem to have everything packed into her books that will keep you sucked in and hooked waiting for the next in her series. This series is no exception, you will be eager to get your hands on the next one. I loved the storyline in this series and the main characters. There is suspense, passion, drama, backstabbing, you name it and she writes it.

This book continues where the last one leaves off. They open up more to each other but will they be able to find a way to be together? Will Haze chose Leighton or the job? Will Leighton continue with her self-destructive ways? Will she choose Ricky or Haze?

You don't want to miss out on this series!

Poor Judgment

Leighton, was a Rich, spoiled brat, who got off on making the people who cared about her look bad by any means necessary tabloids, drinking, drugs and spreading her legs for any man who looked in her direction.
Haze, strong, respectful, military hero and controlled, unless it had to do with Leighton, then all sanity left the room. No matter how he continued to protect her or stand guard outside a door she was having s** in, he couldn't walk away. She had a hold on his heart, but the real problem was he could never just be honest with her about his feelings. Will Haze and Leighton, ever figure out what they want and need from each other before it's too late and the lose everything?

Hearing the news of her brother reenlisting in the army and that Haze had given him the idea of being reevaluated after working at his construction job, Leighton feels everyone in her life ends up leaving her. First her parents, her screwed up friends and even Haze. If she only really knew why Haze was fighting his feelings for her. Keeping her safe was by far the most important thing. But what would happen if they both just gave into each other? And what would happen if her grandfather would find out? Then the threats against her. Who is this person making them and will they be able to find whoever it is before something happens? Once again M.S.Parker has out done herself!!

First off lets just talk about the cover of this book, it is so HOT, and the story that is hidden behind the cover AMAZING.

The back and forth between Leighton and Haze is enough to give anyone whip lash, I am wondering how long it is going to take these two to realize they are perfect for each other, Leighton really needs to lose the dirtbag Ricky that is her so called boyfriend, and along with that she needs to ditch her "best friend" Paris. Paris in my opinion is the one that is sending the threating letters to Leighton's grandfather, there seems to be something off about her.

Cannot wait for the next book in this series, with the ending of this book I am left wanting more

Hero- The Ambush

This story is so, so good! Leighton, is your typical spoiled rich, brat, with such a chip on her shoulder, feels like she has no one, and she rebels constantly, acts out! Haze, met her at a party saving her, chance encounter, their connection, undeniable, then he left to go to serve for military, so true to her constant fears, everyone leaves her!!! They meet up again, years later, now, so much more at risk, what will happen, can Haze ave her, does she want to be saved? You will love this story, and is so intense, waiting!!!! I cannot wait for book3, Oh, yes!!

I really love this story. I love that it isn't just the typical couple meets and falls in love and has some twists and couple lives happily ever after. There is struggle and annoyance and lots of back & forth. Haze is trying to protect Leighton, she just wants what she wants, doesn't listen to a thing Haze says, and heads out to party her troubles away. I love that she's seriously flawed. She's not easy to like, but I do. I think she has alot of growing up to do, but I hope to see that coming. Haze, super sexy, love his protective nature for Leighton, but why isn't he just more honest? Can't wait for the final installment.

MS Parker never fails to amaze me with her storylines. Each new series she writes just gets better and better as it continues.

Hero - The Ambush we find ourselves continuing to go back and fourth with Leighton and Haze throughout the book. The chemistry is incredibly apparent between two of them with mounting tension during the book. I will say my emotions ran high during this book. I was so angry at Leighton and her decisions I mean she really needs to dump that crappy boyfriend Ricky. And if that's what you call a best friend UGH!

This book leaves you wanting so much more and questioning her decision making skills for sure. I honestly can't wait for the next book in this series!

Let me start by saying I love this book.
That being said I am so frustrated by Leighton. I have a few times had the urge to throw my kindle!
She knows Ricky is a scumbag, yet keeps going back. Then there is Paris, not a friend more a green eyed witch.

I need for Haze and Leighton to get on the same page, even the same room would do. Most of all I need answers.
As with all M S Parkers books you don't know which direction the story will go. I can only hope that Haze can get everything sorted. I do think that her grandfather has a big heart under that gruff exterior.

Haze is torn between his love for Leighton and his responsibilities as her bodyguard. Leighton continues to be the rich, spoiled, party girl. Every once in a while we see another side of Leighton, the sad, hurt girl who is afraid of losing another person close to her. M.S. Parker's writing captured my interest the minute I picked up this book and didn't let it go until long after I put it down. I was left thinking about the characters and how much I loved reading this book. I wish book 3 was here already!

I really enjoy reading this story. I really want to shake Leighton and say grow up but I get she is still reeling from her parents death and feels all alone. Everyone leaves and Haze is just like them. Haze wants Leighton but he feels he can't do his job. I can't stand Paris or the slimeball Ricky, I wish Leighton would finally dump them both for good. With Leighton not knowing the threat to her life, will that be a mistake for her not knowing? I can't wait to find out what happens next

I love it! Nail biter! (BORROWED FROM KINDLE UNLIMITED)

The more I read from M. S. Parker, the more impressed I become.
So far the Hero series has kept me on the edge of my seat. Seriously! It's one of the most difficult books to walk away from. Life stops until you're done or it's all you can think about until you get back to it.
I can't wait for the last book. COME ON DECEMBER 15th!

Loving this series!

Leighton, when are you going to learn to trust someone. Hopefully in book 3? I love the chemistry between Haze and Leighton. Haze tolerates a lot from Leighton, partying, drinking, drugs and sex. I don't know how he handles watching her self destruction. Thank goodness he won't give up on her.

I can't wait til book three to see how Leighton gets out of trouble this time and hope Haze has the patience to stay with her.

No matter how badly a spoiled brat Leighton is Haze seems to somehow make up for it!! This book I could not stand her. She is a immature and spoiled and doesn't give a s*** about anyone but herself!! She really needs to grow up.

Haze should hook up with someone else and throw it in her face that she is not the only one that can play the games they have been playing.

I hope book 3 is better than this one. I love haze and could read about him any day all day!!

A suspenseful ride!

This the second part of the Hero trilogy and it's more suspenseful than the first. The sexual tension and frustration is still thick between Haze and Leighton. The story is so well written that as the reader, you feel frustrated yourself. You want these two to just throw away the excuses and realize they are better together than they are apart. With how this one ended, I hope they do. Frustrating but the tension and suspense makes it worth the read.
