Flags at Half-Staff For UGA Crash Victims
Flags were flying at half-staff in Georgia on Friday, part of a statewide outpouring of sympathy and grief following a car crash that killed four University of Georgia students and left a fifth in critical condition.
"The people of Georgia share the grief of the families and friends of those who were injured or killed, and we pray for their comfort and healing in the days to come," Gov. Nathan Deal said in the proclamation ordering flags be lowered. >>> Read more.

Roofer Scams Nearly $15,000 From Elderly Residents: Police
A Canton resident is accused of scamming thousands of dollars from at least two residents who paid him to perform roofing work at their homes. Shawn Stephen Roberts, 44, is being held at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center.
A roofer by trade, Roberts allegedly made deals with residents to complete work on their homes. However, the sheriff's office contends Roberts took the money from homeowners and never followed through with the jobs. >>> Read more.
