Hail Kaldaien our JRPG God! Seriously, I wasn't even sure you'd touch this, but I'm glad to see you here. I look forward to your work. I loved what you did for Zestaria and Symphonia. I haven't gotten around to Disgaea, but I heard you did good work there as well.

And here we go again.
Another notch on the helmet for Kaldaien. :-)

Wait a minute. On the store page, says full english and japanese language and audio support. Why does this need a hex editing for the audio?
Haroon May 12, 2016 @ 2:29pm
Once again, thanks Kaldaien! @Malienvictor2004, the game supports both languages, but you are not able to choose English subtitles, and menus with Japanese voices. It's either full Japanese, or full English.

If you use JPN Voice Overs you get JPN text, so you can't use JPN Voice and ENG Subtitles like in FFXIII.

Because Square linked the JP audio to the asian region subtitle and UI languages while linking the EN audio to the western region subtitle and UI languages. You cannot mix and match the audio and text/UI languages.

And it begins :)

Is there a typo? You mean "can't" right?

Oh, hi Kaldaien.

I was expecting you, man. :p

It was thanks to you that I played (and beat) Tales of Symphonia. :p

And how exactly did you "fix" the 30 fps cap? You redid all the animations, physics calculations, engine cycles, etc? Wow I think Squenix needs to cut you a check!

Yes I meant can't sorry Frag, I edited it like right after posting but the edit didn't go through >.>
malienvictor2004 May 12, 2016 @ 2:39pm
Jeeze, it was possible with XIII. What made this one different to not have JP Audio and ENG sub, or vice versa?

Kaldaien wrote about fixed problems with the frame rate limiter. That doesn't necessarily mean that 60 FPS is enabled. It likely means the game's own limiter has pacing problems that cause microstutter and that this bad limiter has been replaced with the alternative limiter which fixed this same problem in Tales of Zesteria and Symphonia.
