Meet SBJ’s 2016 Men of the Year

The sixth-annual class of Springfield Business Journal’s Men of the Year has been chosen by an independent panel of judges, and the 20 men will be honored at an August luncheon.

The award recognizes the professional, philanthropic and civic contributions of men from across southwest Missouri.

The 2016 Men of the Year honorees are: Dr. Abe Abdalla, CoxHealth; Ron Carrier, Greene County Circuit Court; Jerry Davis, College of the Ozarks; Mike Hamra, Hamra Enterprises; Jerry Harmison Jr., Harmison & Pearman PC; Jerry Henry, H2R Market Research; Jim Hodge, EOS LLC; Tyler James, James Financial Partners LLC; Tracy Kimberlin, Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau; Kevin Kopp, Nixa Public Schools; Jim Lewis, KPM CPAs PC; Randy Mayes, People Centric Consulting Group LLC; Colin McAllister, McAllister Coaching LLC; Larry Peterson, Habitat for Humanity of Springfield, Missouri Inc.; Wes Pratt, Missouri State University; Leroy Schaefer, Sunbelt Environmental Services Inc.; C. Pat Taylor, Southwest Baptist University; Rick Todd, Herschend Family Entertainment Corp.; Randell Wallace, Lathrop & Gage LLP; and Paul Williams, Springfield Police Department.

The Men of the Year luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 19 in the White River Conference Center, 600 W. Sunshine St. Tickets are $38 apiece and can be purchased at SBJ.net/MOTY.

SBJ has again partnered with Brighton-based nonprofit Good Samaritan Boys Ranch for the Men of the Year event in an effort to raise money and help provide a safe and caring home for boys who have come from broken or nonexistent homes. The event will include a silent auction and special donation opportunities.
