How Pulmonary Hypertension Develops

German Federal President, Joachim Gauck, has awarded a team of researchers and developers from Bayer and the Center for Lung Research at Justus Liebig University in Giessen, the Deutscher Zukunftspreis 2015.  This is the President’s award for innovation in science and technology and was given for the development of a life-saving drug product.

Professor Johannes-Peter Stasch, Dr. Reiner Frey (both from Bayer) and Professor Ardeschir Ghofrani (Giessen) received the award in recognition of their work in developing a drug product for the treatment of two life-threatening forms of pulmonary hypertension. The film shows how pulmonary hypertension develops.
