Texans Re-Signing DT Chunky Clements To Practice Squad

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Texans are re-signing DT Chunky Clements to their practice squad after clearing waivers on Friday.

The Texans’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. CB Bryce Jones
  2. G David Quessenberry
  3. CB Dee Virgin
  4. LB Kennan Gilchrist
  5. G Dorian Johnson
  6. RB Troymaine Pope
  7. TE Ryan Malleck
  8. DB Josh Thornton
  9. DB Ibraheim Campbell
  10. DT Chunky Clements

Clements, 22, originally signed on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Illinois back in July. Minnesota cut him loose as they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit.

The Texans signed Clements to their practice squad and promoted to the team’s active roster a few weeks ago. Houston cut Clements loose on Thursday.

During his four-year college career, Clements recorded 99 tackles, 26.5 tackles for a loss, six sacks, three forced fumbles, a recovery and five pass defenses over the course of 37 games.

Clements has yet to appear in an NFL game.
