Karlos Dansby earns another Player of the Week Award 10 years after his first

Arizona Cardinals inside linebacker Karlos Dansby reacts during an NFL game against the San Francisco 49ers in Santa Clara, Calif., on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017.

Ten years after he won his first NFL Player of the Week Award, Karlos Dansby has won another. Dansby is the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 9 of the NFL's 2017 season.

In the Arizona Cardinals' 20-10 victory over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Dansby made seven tackles (including a sack), intercepted a pass, broke up another pass and had two quarterback hits.

Dansby's interception came at the Arizona 7-yard line with 2:28 left in the game. The interception was the 20th of Dansby's career, making him the fifth player in NFL history with at least 20 interceptions and 40 sacks. The others are Seth Joyner, Ray Lewis, Wilber Marshall and Brian Urlacher.

Dansby started at inside linebacker for the Cardinals on Sunday. He started at weakside linebacker on Nov. 11, 2007, in Arizona's 31-21 victory over the Detroit Lions. Dansby intercepted two passes in the game to earn the NFC Defensive Player of the Week Award for Week 10 of the 2007 season.

"I've been playing this game for 14 years," Dansby said after Sunday's game. "... I've seen the evolution of the game and how it's changing. For me to be able to still have success and be successful on the field, all praises go to God for that one. He gave me a great gift, and I'm just trying to use it."

The other Player of the Week winners for Week 9 were Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton, AFC Offensive; Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff, NFC Offensive; New York Jets outside linebacker Jordan Jenkins, AFC Defensive; New Orleans Saints defensive back Justin Hardee, NFC Special Teams; and Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Jaydon Mickens, AFC Special Teams.
