First confirmed sighting of Liam Colgan as search goes on for Inverness postman missing after Hamburg stag do

A SIGHTING of missing stag do Scot Liam Colgan has been confirmed in Hamburg.

Now, one of the sightings has been confirmed and a charity helping the family say they are also following "several other leads."

The Lucie Blackman Trusts tweeted: "We now have a first CONFIRMED sighting of Liam Colgan.

"Whilst this is only shortly after he was last seen, it is still positive news and we are following several other leads.

"Further to previous update - if anyone has access to CCTV footage, or was in the area of Baumwall, Hamburg, around 2.20am on Saturday Feb 10 - Please get in touch via ops@lbtrust.org."

The Royal Mail worker from Inverness vanished on his brother’s stag in Hamburg do over a week ago.

We previously told how a body was found during searches over the weekend but Liam’s distraught family have confirmed that it wasn’t him.

Brother Eamonn says they are still receiving sightings of his brother and insisted he is “still out there.”.

He said: “My brother is still out there and we are still receiving sightings.

“We need to find Liam and bring him home to his family and friends. We need your assistance to help do this by sharing the appeal and contacting your friends in Germany to do so.

Liam vanished in Hamburg on February 10 after flying to the city to celebrate his brother’s stag weekend.

A bakery worker earlier claimed a colleague spotted the missing Scot four days after he vanished from the city.
