"You really are an angel."
"Angels wouldn't like the things I have planned tonight."

All I can tell you about this one, is have the tissues ready. You're going to go through all the feels! This a second chance romance at its very best!

Lydia Shane is back. Never thinking she'd ever step foot in this town again, she finds herself here on a job assignment. But, the little diner, Lover's Landing, isn't the only story she has to tell. Righting this wrong with Adam is going to be her hardest assignment yet. Can he ever forgive her? Will confronting that night bring them closure so they can both move on, or will it give them the chance at the love they thought would last a lifetime?

Adam Newberry couldn't see his life without her. He asked her to marry him, after all. But, then she up and left without so much as a goodbye. Five years he's waited for her to return, and today...she did. He wants answers - no, he NEEDS answers from her about what happened that night. Can he possibly have a second chance with the love of his life? Or, will he end up with his heartbroken once again?

As each tells their part of the story, it becomes clear that maybe neither one of them was fully to blame for their broken hearts. Betrayal is in the air in Love, Georgia.

I can''t tell you how much I loved this story!! Reading about how these two first met and how their love grew made my heart swell. So sweet!! Then, my heart was breaking for both of them as you could feel the anguish pouring out of every word. I was mad at her. I was mad at him. I was crying with both of them. This story was so well done! Highly recommend you grab this one ASAP!!

I was so happy when I was given this ARC. Oh my, I totally enjoyed this story from beginning to end. A page turner, I could not put down. The story of Adam and Lydia brought so many emotions out of me throughout. The love these two shared with one another was wonderful until Lydia walked away. The then and now flowed so smoothly together. I was definitely not expecting the twists that happened. It sure shocked me at the end when the secrets came out. I was on edge wondering will these two get back together and have the future they had wanted before Lydia walked away or will they both move on. The ending was phenomenal and I definitely give this book 5 stars plus. Thanks Kiersten. Another excellent read!!!!

This genre is something I usually avoid, but I had to give this a chance because I'm a huge fan of this Author. I'm glad I did. I really enjoyed this. Plus there is twists, and suspense.

Without much detail because I hate spoilers. This is a sweet story about a girl named Lydia has to go back to her hometown. Adam is her ex and after 6 years she bumps into him again. Can they work out the issues?

I have received this arc for my honest review

Just finished this sweet novella from Kiersten Modglin. What a heartwarming read!! The hero, Adam, was so incredibly sweet, but there were twists and turns that kept him and Lydia apart. Big things. I had tears in my eyes as well as a smile at the end, which is just what you want with a small town, second chance romance. Highly recommend you read this one!!

What a fantastic and attention grabbing quick read! The author spins a more contemporary feeling novella with this exceptional story of Lydia and Adam. She still manages to weave just a few little twists and secrets into the smoothly written prose. These two and their impressive story pulled so hard at my heartstrings. I'm looking forward to not only reading more of the Lover's Landing Novella series, but also future books written by this amazing author.

This is my second book in this series so far and my fifth book by this author. This story is a short and sweet Second Chance romance.

Lydia Shane is back. Never thinking she'd ever step foot in this town again, she finds herself here on a job assignment.

Adam Newberry couldn't see his life without her. He asked her to marry him, after all. But, then she up and left without so much as a goodbye. Five years he's waited for her to return, and today...she did.

Being reunited with your first love doesn’t happen to everyone but when it does, your life feels complete and the future looks brighter.

I received an advance copy of this book. I am voluntarily giving my honest review, and I plan to buy this book when it becomes available.

This was a sweet, short read with a twist and a half.

I love novellas and how quickly you can read them, but this one was so good it was hard to put down!

Modglin is a little more contemporary in this one, but stays true to her twisty side of writing with a smooth flow that will have you glued until the end!

I must admit this is the first book that I have read and was not ready for it to end but then turned around and read it again. The Long Route by Kiersten Modglin took me by surprise and I am so glad that I read it. To start the author has fantastic characterization. By the end of the book, I was in love with the characters and would have loved to live in the town with them. These characters felt so real, but the author really did a great job of creating characters that leave an impression while pulling on the heartstrings. A strong plot supported by interesting subplots that made sense and moved the story along. It wasn't fast-paced nor did it drag as some books do. The momentum was consistent and everything came together in the end. Just the emotions, drama, angst, hot scenes, darn this book has it all. Adam and Lydia are the perfect couple. Lydia needs a job and Adam just happens to be in the right spot at the right time. They slowly fall for each other. As school comes to an end things happen. Present-day Lydia returns to her home town to write a story but her heart is still set in the past. Will seeing Adam this time give her what she needs?

I loved this book from beginning to end. Lydia is back in her hometown of Love Georgia to do a story on Lovers Landing for the paper where she works. Lydia was in love with Adam when she was younger. She got a job working on Adams family farm. She helped out on the farm and grew closer to Adam. Their relationship grew. Lydia wanted to go to the college where her mom went to be closer to her. Her mom had passed away. Adam wanted to go to another college. A couple had taken Lydia in and she became their child. Adam had asked Lydia to marry him and she said yes. But something happened and Lydia took off. So here she is back in Love Georgia 5 years later and runs into Adam who wants answers as to why she left years ago. Will they work things out between them or will they once again go their separate ways? I recommend this book. It was that good.

Every single time I finish one of the novellas I think, this is my favorite because dang that was a heck of a story and what could top this? Then I read and omg the next is just as great and gives me so many feels!!! I have never read from this author and the point of view threw me off a little bit but never NEVER took away from this incredible story!!

Lydia’s story is NOTHING like I thought it would be and boy am I swooning. I didn’t like her all that much because I could tell certain circumstances were her fault and it ripped my heart up. Their story is like a fairy tale and each chapter would bring you down with the lies and not telling each other the truth but then you would swoon because of something Adam did or said.

Adam is a strong and determined to win his heart back and he made me swoon at every chapter! The heartbreak he suffered that could’ve been prevented made my heart cry. I cried a lot during this book (I’m emotional) and it was so worth it!!

The shocking ending was something I NEVER saw coming and couldn’t help feel so bad for them! The pain and suffering they have gone through for it to come down to that was heart stopping. What a great story and I can’t wait to read more from this author!!! Congrats!!! 💜

If you love a book that gives you all the feels, then this book is for you. The Long Route tells the story of Adam and Lydia, who have known each other all their lives and ended up being high school sweethearts. Then one day, a question was asked that changed their whole lives. Flash forward several years later, and Lydia and Adam meet once again. Is the love still there? Can they overcome the past? This story truly tugged at my heart and I really wanted these characters to get back together, but sometimes life doesn't work out as you planned. Or does it? This is a book that is part of a new series and I am looking forward to reading each one. Do yourself a favor and start the series with this book as it will keep you entranced from the very beginning to the very end!

So this is a super sweet second chance romance that hits you in the gut at times. I love a book that give you flutters in the belly because you connect with the characters so fast and this one did that for me. I love when you just click with the main characters and you will fall for them both. I loved the flashback scenes, and they gave so much back story that you don’t expect in a novella and I LOVED that. It didn’t lack in details, or experiences. It was clean enough for those who don’t like extremely heated scenes and hot enough that you know what’s happening. Loved these two and the twists and turns that come to play throughout. Loved their story! Great read.

Lies. Deceit. Broken hearts. What do you do when a revelation throws your entire world into a spin? For these two that's kinda been them from the start. The need for a job turns them into friends. But then. . . this author does this kind of stuff with ease, trauma, drama and yeah she messes with us by going back and forth in time and letting us see how it went south and why. This emotional read will hurt you to your toes as you walk thru their mess. Loved it and can't wait to read more of the Lover's landing stories. Is it the coffee? Is it Harold and Bettye? What is it that brings lovers together and changes the most hardened and lost into the lover's in Lover, Georgia?

Lydia and Adam have a complicated past, and she never thought she would come home to Love, Georgia again. But when she has a work assignment that brings her back home, she finds that Adam isn't the same boy that she left behind. Nope, he feels like she wronged him, and it's been 5 years since he saw her, so he's determined to get answers. As they tip toe around each other, they almost don't get those answers, but finally secrets are revealed which shake both of their worlds up, and now they must decide how to move on from there. OMG, this story had my heart in my throat, because it seemed like there was more going on under the surface as the author went back & forth between now & then. So there were some big f-bomb worthy twists in it, all the way up to the ending, which always gets my blood pumping. And of course, Betty's coffee shop played it's part in them getting the answers, and I need to find a place like that. So The Long Route is another story that I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND in this series!

This book was so good! Who says high school sweet hearts can’t make it work?
Lydia never felt she was worth anyone’s time she always felt like an outsider. A foster child of a loving family she just felt like she was a burden. Determined to go to Atlanta to college she got a summer job to help pay for it.
Adam the popular guy who is also a sexy farmer gave her a summer job on the farm. After a few days he realized she was much more than plan Jane Lydia Shane.
I loved this story it went from past to present and it was just a magical love affair. Showing that some times pride will destroy everything. And some secretes are meant to be kept in the past.
A must read for all romance lovers.

Loved it. This was amazing from beginning to end. Kiersten is an amazing writer and this one shows it. Adam and Lydia are quite the couple. But fate has a road for them to take that may or may not tear them apart. There are definitely some secrets that come out in this one that are indeed interesting and you don't see them coming. Kiersten definitely put a twist in this one. I absolutely love Adam and Lydia together. This couple is so strong and lovable. Another enjoy book from Love Georgia. Another great book to this series. I have to say my favorite so far.

I love second chance romances, and this one hits all the feels and goalposts! High school sweethearts torn apart by outside forces, betrayal and fears; random meeting that a stirs up old feelings, hurts and resentment; continued miscommunication... it's all here and more! Great characters, great supporting characters, feel good moments and snippets of rage. Some twists you never see coming. What a book! Adam and Lydia are soulmates and it's awesome to see them find each other again, while looking toward their future and happily ever after.

Coming Home

A number of surprises and twists will keep you turning pages in this HEA (Happily Ever After). Our heroine suffers from lack of self worth despite achieving on many levels; childhood tragedies have conditioned her to push people away to protect herself from loss. Despite having to overcome a sense of entitlement and rather bad judgment about girlfriends, our hero is a genuinely nice fellow. Not everyone else plays by the rules, though. Our lovers have to overcome multiple trials and tribulations to come together in the end.

I absolutely loved this novella! It was a quick read, but I was sad when it ended. This story definitely pulls at your emotions. Adam, *sigh* is every girls dream. Poor Lydia, had to deal with a tragic event in her childhood, has caught Adam's interest. Through all the ups and downs with these two, I loved reading about their love, loss, and finding eachother again. This is my first read of Kiersten's and I will definitely be reading more. Thank you for the ARC. It was wonderful!

I really enjoyed this second chance romance! Being able to see the story unfold from both points of view, from the past and present times, was a great way to get an overall perspective. The story had lots of depth, with many plot twists and turns (that would give things away if I said too much)...the ONLY reason I deducted a star from the rating, was due to the fact that the reader is left without closure on one thing. Not a big thing, mind you, but I'm a person who NEEDS closure, or I can't stop thinking about it. Other than that, I loved the main characters and it's a truly enjoyable read!

I always love second chance romances and this one definitely belongs on the list of fun ones. Lydia and Adam were in love and when things took a turn, they were left without the other. It's clear in this story that their story was influenced by something neither of them realize. I have to say that the secret in this story is a kind of one I never like in books (I don't want to spoil). Also a couple of the chapters explaining more of this mystery didn't sit well with me, seeing how this is a novella. All in all a fun story though!

Kiersten is a first time author for me and her addition to A Lovers Landing is a short and sweet Second Chance romance filled with so much - angst, heartbreak, misunderstandings, secrets and lost love.

Lovers Landing is the perfect place to follow The Long Route home and find a HEA.

Again, like Kelsie's book I finished this in one sitting.

This story in the anthology was like reading a full length novel, that was packed full of everything a novel needs. Lydia and Adam's story had all the feels, along with a twist or two, which Kiersten is known for putting in all of her books. Beautifully written story that will grab you from the very beginning and not let you go until the very end.

Lydia hasn't been home in six years. The only reason she's back is to write an article on Lover's Landing, the town's local coffee shop. What she doesn't expect is to have a run in with Adam, the man she lost her heart to all those years ago. When truths are told and secrets come out, will the be prepared to move forward. This book kept me enthralled all the way to the end. I loved Lydia and Adam so much. The author did such an amazing job with these two.
