Gamma Mu Foundation
Although the Gamma Mu Foundation strives to target its resources in truly rural and/or underserved areas, we realize the difficulty in defining “rural” in the present day. This is especially true in the GLBT community where support organizations tend to exist in more urban areas. In considering geographic location, however, the review committee strives to assess the relative size of the available GLBT community and the ability of the organization to obtain funding locally. In addition, the definitions of rural provided by the U.S. Census and the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services are taken into consideration.

The Widener University Sexuality Archives was a happy accident. In 2007 Molly Wolf received a donation of sexuality related materials from Drs. William and Judith Seifer. Among the books and videos that would be added to the Wolfgram Library's regular Circulating collection were other items, such as, personal papers and pamphlets, that were outside of the scope of the Library's collection development policy but that were too interesting to discard. Molly Wolf held on to these items until they began to take over her office. As she surveyed the growing collection of materials, Molly realized that she had an archive of sexuality related materials... and the Widener University Sexuality Archive was born.

The Asian Pride Project
The Asian Pride Project aspires to foster greater visibility, pride, acceptance, unity, and harmony for all lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) Asians & Pacific Islander (API) people in our families, cultural communities and beyond, no matter where we are! We believe in the power of sharing, connecting, and relating to give API families and communities the support they need when struggling with the challenges of our sexual and gender identities in the API cultural context.

The Asian Pride Project is a two-phase media campaign using two means of outreach.

  • Our online component, a multilingual web community which serves as a forum for everyone to connect, communicate, and share stories and visual art forms.
  • Media advertising that targets local community newspapers in various Asian languages, as well as other forms of publicity materials.

The Asian Pride Project aims to be inclusive of all people who can share personal experiences relating to a) Asian & Pacific Islander heritage, b) meaningful experiences pertaining to sexual orientation and gender expression.
