The description reads "multi-layered suede fringe down one side and a suede-tasseled zip down the other." The pair I received were true to the photo: there is no fringe down the side, but there is a bit of a tassel on the zip. I LOVE how they look, and loved the price (thanks STP!). They are super comfy in the foot bed. One word of caution: if you have a wider foot, I'd recommend ordering a size up. I tried them on while wearing tights, and they were fine, but were a little too snug with socks.

I purchased them in a 7 (I usually wear a 7 or 7.5) and these fit well. There is one correction to the description - as you can see from the pictures there is no fringe down the side, and the zip doesn't have a suede tassel, just a double-over suede tie for pulling up and down. I haven't worn them out in any weather so I can't vouch for warmth or water-resistance.
