Hi all, I just joined up and was hoping someone could advise me.

I bought a kanger emow starter kit just before xmas and have not had a ciggie since then but i am struggling with this kit.
I am now finding that the battery protection (if that's what it is) is kicking in after three or four seconds and seeing as you can't get a huge draw on it in the first place that is really cramping my style!

I have tried changing juice and coils but after a few seconds the light on the button gets dimmer and switches off and then it flashes 15 times.

The unit itself doesn't turn off and I can wait a few seconds and go again but it just isn't doing it for me. Is this just a limitation of the unit itself and i need something beefier, or is it broke as it does seem to have got worse, To be honest i was never really that satisfied with it but it was just enough.

Is it charging correctly, as per the manual. What are you using to charge it.

I am using its own USB charger cable plugged into a mains charger rather than a PC USB slot. I am Pretty sure I don't have the option of charging the battery any other way.

The light on the charging cable starts off red, and ends up green when fully charged. I can only assume it is charging correctly!

Ok, I found an old battery from a really cheap e-cig I bought a few years ago and it has the right fitment so I just charged it up and tested it with the emow tank. You can see how small it is when compared to the Emow one!

Anyway, although this budget battery has a lot less wattage ( I am guessing) it doesn't cut out like the Emow battery so I can get a longer draw!

Faulty unit on the new Emow?

Yeah seems like the issue is the Emow battery. The smaller one will put out the required watts as they both work the same, but obviously won't last as long.

Thanks a lot. I will see if they will send out a new one..unlikely :)

If the tank is a 510 thread then it will fit on pretty much any mod, always good to have a backup[emoji16]. Long time since I've seen one to be honest, occasionally see them for sale but they've been surpassed by regulated mods that you can alter power output to suit.

Yeah, this is just a starter kit. I think i will get something better and treat this as an emergency back up! In one month i have saved enough cash to justify buying something nicer :)

Good plan, you can never have enough backups [emoji23]. Have a good read through the forum, plenty of advice on mods etc & best suited to your budget.

A guy locally to me is selling a new Uwell crown IV complete kit for £30. which sounds like a good price. Good piece of kit?
