Man dies after ‘medical incident’ at Barclays bank on Edinburgh’s Princes Street as cops treat death as ‘unexplained’

Emergency services rushed to the scene at 10.45am this morning

A MAN has died after a 'medical incident' on Edinburgh's Princes Street saw emergency services swoop on the area.

Cops and ambulances were seen at Barclays bank after being called at around 10.45am.

An eyewitness reported seeing at least three ambulances and lots of police activity.

Officers have now confirmed that the man has passed away.

They are treating his death as unexplained.

A spokeswoman said:  “Police in Edinburgh are investigating following the death of a man at a bank in Princes Street.

 “The incident happened around 10.45am on Monday, January 14.

 “The death is currently being treated as unexplained, however the circumstances are not believed to be suspicious.  A report will be sent to the procurator Fiscal.”
