SAN RAMON, Calif. – The awards keep coming for San Francisco State's Destiny Mack-Talalemotu, who has been named the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Field Athlete of the Week for March 12-18.
 
Mack-Talalemotu shined this past weekend at the Hornet Invitational, recording three top-five finishes. The junior opened up with a second-place finish in hammer throw, tossing a program-best 57.02m which is currently the fourth-best distance in the nation. On Saturday, she placed second in shot put with a throw of 14.79m for another program record and the best mark in the country. She closed out the weekend with a fourth-place finish in discus, notching a 50.32m for another top distance in the nation. All three of her results are provisional qualifying marks.
 
The Long Beach, California product becomes the second CCAA Athlete of the Week honoree this season after Atiya Harvey was named the Track Athlete of the Week on Feb. 27.
 
The Gators continue the outdoor season this weekend when they head to San Luis Obispo, California for the Cal Poly ShareSLO Invitational. Events kick off on Friday at 3:00 p.m. and wrap up at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday.
