RATING 3.5 STARS

Until More by S. Van Horne is part of the Happily Ever Alpha World series and is also a cross over novella in the More series.

Crystal and Vigo Conti first met at a bar and it happened, The Boom. They shared a passionate night together but the next morning, a misunderstanding had Crystal running. Neither has been able to forget the other. Neither has been able to look at anyone else since that night. But Crystal never tried to clarify what she thought she heard so that was all Conti was ever going to get.

Crystal is twenty two, a talented ghost writer. But ever since that night with Conti, she’s suffered from writer’s block. Her dream has always been to live in Hawaii so she finally takes the plunge and makes the move. Who would have thought that she’d be sitting on the beach and there he’d be, the man she ran away from a year ago.

Vigo Conti has guardianship of his sixteen year old little sister who has autism. He’s just finished a stressful case so it’s past time for a vacation. So he packs up his sister and off they go to Hawaii. Maybe the time away will finally get Crystal out of his head. Except of all places, he runs into her on the beach where he took his sister to look for shells.

They finally talk things out and realize where they both went wrong a year ago and they get their second chance. Only their happiness is short lived as danger is waiting for them.

I struggled with this a little bit. I just never could really feel the connection with these two. I thought Crystal came off as immature which in truth, she is. I added the extra half star rating towards the end because there was a particularly touching moment with Conti’s sister, Maddison.

This was a sweet portrayal of a brother’s love and devotion to his sister and the way she blossoms under his care. I think that was the thing I’ll remember most about this book. I’m on a mission to real ALL of the Happily Ever Alpha books so now I’m on to the next one.

“My one. My soulmate. The one that made my whole world go boom.”

Its Live

I could not be happier about these stories in the Until Series Kindle World. I just can't get enough, and Until More was no exception. I simply adored the characters. I also thought that S. Van Horne did a fantastic job of making it so you could follow along with the characters if you have not read her series.

HERO~ Vigo Conti - hubba hubba. Sweet, sexy and alpha cop. He is only 25 but he has taken care of his autistic 16 year old sister since her birth. He was loving and so patient with her. It was heart melting.

HEROINE~Crystal was a great, likable heroine. She was sweet and kind as well. She stepped into Madison's life and was genuinely a mother to her.

SEXUAL HISTORY~ No dwelling on their past but neither were virgins. Conti was not portrayed as a manwhore in the least

OM/OW DRAMA ~ zero!!! 😊

STEAMlots of steam which I love

VIOLENCE none of a sexual nature

SAFETY SAFE! I appreciated that, even though it was caused by a misunderstanding, neither were with others during their separation.

ENDING~ great epilogue that made me smile

As the mother of a severely autistic son, this book moved me beyond words. S. Van Horn's ability to bring life to her characters is a gift, one I won't forget after finishing Until More. Aurora Rose Reynolds chose well when picking authors with a similar writing style and voice to complement her Until Series. Well done S. Van Horn and Aurora Rose Reynolds!

WOW… Pure love in every shape and form… Until More is heart touchingly BEAUTIFUL!

This was my first S. Van Horne book, and for that I’m kicking myself here. I should have read her work sooner, since it’s been on my endless TBR list, but rest assured that after This amazing story, specially considering the side character, I’m going to immediately dive in the rest of the More series!

Until More gives us the second chance love story of Conti and Crystal, that after finding each other, and their Boom, were separated for over a year by a huge misunderstanding that left them both broken hearted.

I’ve avoided him since that one night in Kansas City. The one night that changed my life and blew my heart to pieces.

All I could think of was her. The one who changed my whole world with one look, but then shattered it with the next.

After parting ways after that one memorable night of passion, both decide to devote all their focus on other part of their lives. Crystal in finding the peace and connection she always seeked since her parents passed, making her dream/promise come true and moving to Hawaii.
Conti coped the way he knew how, turning to his work, and focusing even more on his sweet sixteen year old autistic baby sister, Maddison. And right there he stole my heart! Having witnessed first hand, the love and devotion these children require, I know Ms. Horne put a lot of her own love and devotion in Conti’s character. He was the perfect father – that’s right, that’s what he was to her since she was born – and showed us yet another kind of love, the unconditional love towards that adorable child.

“I have custody of her and I’ll never let anyone come between her and I. She needs me . . . just as much as I need her.”

There’s something about a child with a disability that draws out the love that’s inside a person. It’s almost magical. There’s no containing it, once it starts.

And it’s that devotion, that coupled with FATE – that’s right, you can’t escape from destiny – that brought him and Mads to Hawaii on vacation. Conti just didn’t expect to run into the woman that had broken his heart but that he wasn’t able to keep far from his mind, Crystal. The woman that he has been secretly longing for close to one year.

Having the ability to see her light up the way she does, makes everything I’ve done in my life so far worth it. I just wish I had someone to share it with.

Of course a connection like theirs couldn’t be easily dismissed, and when misunderstandings were unveiled, and doubts vanished, their feelings for one another were brought to light, and strengthened by their full commitment to each other, and their relationship evolution was beautifully explained. I loved how they worked not only in them as a couple, but with Mads, to make them whole, as a family.

My heart finally felt whole and put back together. It had started to repair when I saw him on the beach, and even more so watching him with Mads. But that kiss finished piecing it back together.

And who was fundament piece in advising and pushing them forward?! None other than Kai and Myla, from Obligation, one of my favorite Aurora Rose Reynolds’ couples, who are here Crystal’s next door neighbors there. I adored the part and how Ms. Van Horne perfectly integrated them and how vital they were for storyline. Specially Kai! That man and his advices…

When I explained everything from my side, he said she’s what a friend would call my boom. He chuckled at the look that crossed my face, trying to figure out what the fuck a boom was. He went on to explain that it meant she was my one. My soulmate. The one that made my whole world go boom.

Conti and Crystal had such amazing moments, and it was palpable their growing love. All the diverse scenes from funny, to swoon worthy, steamy to emotional, just made that development even richer. Conti had such hilarious come outs, but one thing I never doubted – even if he wasn’t quite sure of that himself, lol – was his love and adoration for Crystal. She too, was fully devoted to him, from the second they reunited – actually, since they met – and I adored how she, like myself, fell instantly for sweet Mads. She always craved a family, and an memorable love, so she was a lucky woman, because it Conti, she had it ALL! In the shape of an HOT Alpha, with occasional OTT caveman tendencies, that both I and Crystal enjoyed a whole lot! ;)

“You had a girlfriend when you slept with me?” I burst out as I try to climb off his lap. However, his arms have become bands of steel, not allowing me to move.
“Of course I did, Legs. I became yours the moment your deep brown eyes connected with mine at the bar,”

That’s the kind of love that myself and countless other authors write about. The kind of love everyone dreams of having.
Including me.

I crave her scent, her touch, her laughter, her tears, her dreams, her fears, her desires . . . I just crave her, period.

Until More truly was a emotional and heart touching story. If not for the slight lack of flow of the storyline and in between scenes, that kind of stole from the organic development of the events, making their relationship/feelings feel a bit forced at times, I would have given it the full 5 stars, because it’s THAT beautiful of a tale.

S. Van Horne really gave us a stunning and heart warming story of both couple and family love. I adored it and got soak it from beginning to end, and the slight suspense element, along with the über sexy sex scenes just made it even more enticing. Like I’ve said, I’m jumping right into the first books of the More series, that is just how captivated by the author’s fantastic and heartfelt writing! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

It’s then I realize that your boom isn’t only your soul mate, or your one. It’s also the one you love with every bone in your body. That you will cross any line you had to, just to have them in your life.

I don't know if it's because of what I read before this one that I had a hard time connecting with the characters at first. It took a while before I started to like it.

The story is about Vigo Conti and Crystal.

He's a detective. He got custody of his autistic sixteen year old sister, Maddison and has taken care of her since birth.

She's a ghost writer and now living in Hawaii.

They had a great night together a year ago only to be separated because of a misunderstanding. It took a year before they talked about it and fixed it.

I really loved the epilogue!

I got to 49% and had to DNF. I just couldn't get into it. He just proposed to the h and they don't even love each other. They've both said it. It's ridiculous. Also I can respect the man for taking care of his autistic sister but I'm not loving the fact that the h just has to come second in everything. He couldn't even leave his sister with her caregiver for even one night for a date. They just got engaged and he had to drag his sister who needs constant supervision with them. They couldn't even eat tacos because little sister had a fit and demanded McDonald's.

I loved Conti & Crystal's story and their chemistry was sizzling hot ;), and once they get their misunderstandings cleared up (both were celibate while separated due to the misunderstanding, which lasted a long time), sexy times commenced ;)

Even though these two are young, Conti's only 25 years old and Crystal's 22 years old, so there's not much in their age difference, they've been through a lot, especially Conti... read this when it's live to find out.

I loved Conti's character (His first name is Vigo) so much! He took the responsibility since very young to take care of his little sister, Madison, who has autism. I admired how he loved, protected her and was patient and tender with her. His number one priority was Madison's well being, her stability, and when Crystal reappears in his life, he wanted for her to accept Madison, which Crystal did with no hesitation at all... she came to love Madison so much <3 I loved seeing their bond and I admired Crystal for understanding Conti's plea to accept his little sister will always be in his life and his responsibility (he was like a dad to her) as well as accepting when she has made a mistake when... well, I can't spoil this for you readers, so read this when it's live in April 3rd to find out what mistake I'm talking about.

We also get to see Kai and his Myla from Aurora Rose Reynolds's other series, Underground Kings,Book 2,"Obligation", and how their lives have been since we last saw them. I loved seeing them and their growing family as well as their intense chemistry and love <3

I was ecstatic that they become good friends with our main characters and establish a good, lasting friendship with them, especially when Conti's parents do something despicable against his girls and... well let's just say that our Conti becomes super alpha and does what needs to be done, with a few helping hands; just read this story and you'll see what I'm talking about :)

S.Van Horne did an amazing job on Madison Elaine's character (Conti's 16 year old sister). She showed us how an autistic child behaves when scared, happy, overwhelmed or sometimes has outbursts; but she handled her character amazingly well and it shows how everyone in the story was gentle and patient with Madison; it added realism when dealing with an autistic child, no matter the age that child is, and how they need to be treated :) S.Van Horne did a great job with this story :)

It was beautiful to see Conti, Crystal and Madison slowly become a family... a family full of acceptance, patience, understanding and most importantly, love <3

I loved the epilogue :) It had it's funny moments in it, which I loved because it also makes the ending of a good story not so sad, at least for me :)

This story was another great addition to Aurora Rose Reynolds's Happily Ever Alpha Kindle World which comes out in April 3rd, so don't miss out in reading an awesome book filled with everything you want to read in a good story :)

Crystal Kopas spent one night with Vigo Conti and thought he might be the one but quickly realized she made a huge mistake. Vigo wants answers from Crystal and why she took off and when fate intervenes and he finds her in Hawaii while vacationing with his autistic little sister. Misunderstandings aside, Vigo and Crystal find their way back together and begin building something when a threat tries to tear them apart.

This was an intriguing story, was a bit surprised how the story unfolded. I liked Vigo a lot, was a bit surprised by Crystal who it took awhile for me to warm up too. Good read, not quite what I expected.

I have been waiting to read the Happily Ever Alpha Kindle World books, since Aurora Rose Reynolds announced she was doing one based on my all time favourite, Until Series. I was excited to see what would be done with her characters when other authors were writing them.

Unfortunately I haven’t had a chance to read any of S Van Horne’s other stories, but I am beyond grateful that I got a chance to read this one. I fell in love with both Crystal and Conti within the first chapter and Maddison just completely stole my heart from her first appearance. This story is so good, I can’t properly put into words, how much I loved it. It was so great to see Myla and Kai again too, this book made me fall even more in love with them, and has me reaching for my copy of Obligation to reminisce in there story.

I knew this Kindle World was going to be epic, but this book has blown my expectations out of the water. 5 amazing stars, S Van Horne has a new fan, I’m now going to download her other books.

Timeline was confusing

The story was not bad, but what turned me off in the first 20% of the book was all the back and forth of the timeline. I almost out it down and stuck it in my DNF shelf, but I hate doing that and since this was a novella I suffered though it. I like the story and the fact that Conti has a sister with autism that he takes care of, but I wish the author laid the story out in chronological order. She could keep the prologue, but everything else could be organized chronologically. It was really a confusing read that took away from the story.

This is another of ARR's kindle world books and I can say it is the perfect addition and has done Aurora Rose Reynolds justice. Crystal and conti are an awesome pairing and I loved Kai and Myla were such a major part of the story.

Her hearts showed well in dealing with the autistic subject and who could help falling in love with these characters.

S Van Horne has a great writing ability and I enjoyed this story very much and look forward to more from her.

Until More is a great addition to ARR's Kindle World and S. Van Horne's More Series. I LOVED how we got to see and hear characters from both worlds. Not only that, but this story touched on the topic of autism, shining light on how parents (in this case, Conti) are affected. Ms. Van Horne gave it to us REAL, depicting the tears, the sacrifices, but most importantly, THE POWER OF LOVE.

Until More was romantic, fast-paced, suspenseful, and inspiring.

This is my third Happily Ever Alpha book to review, and I think it’s officially safe to say, you cannot go wrong with these books. They are in a class all of their own. S. Van Horne does not disappoint. She gives Conti and Crystal the story they deserve.
Story Line: Conti has an autistic sister – Maddison whom he is the primary care giver for. Crystal lost her parents at a young age and moves to Hawaii where Conti and Maddison are coincidentally vacationing. But there’s year old history between Conti and Crystal. History that involves a major misunderstanding. Their story takes us though their journey to earning trust, figuring out that this “boom” is the real deal, and coming to terms with what love truly is. I will say this. There are twists and turns to this story that I didn’t see coming. The book even starts with drama that I completely forgot about until it is revisited later on. Bravo S. Van Horne – it takes a lot to shock me and this drama definitely did.
Interaction: Conti and Crystal start their relationship on rocky terms. Their lack of communication is what causes a major miscommunication. Conti has every right to be super pissed at Crystal, but at the same time I see where she’s coming from too. I’m not going to give anything away here, but just know you need to have an open mind going into this book. Conti paints Crystal in very unflattering light, but she’s not the jerk he thinks she is. Okay, there’s your minor spoiler. No more, I swear!
Laundry: Sweet Jesus. The laundry in this book is so damn hot. It’s just the right amount of dirty/kinky. Conti is probably one of the my favorite dirty talkers of all time. He has a mouth on him that makes my stomach flip flop. Crystal is one lucky lady, that’s for damn sure. There’s enough laundry in this book to satisfy even the naughtiest of readers. Yet, you’re not reading it on every single page. It’s a fantastic balance.
Depth: I think my favorite depth component was Maddison. I’m not an expert by any means when it comes to autism. I’m familiar with characteristics, but I don’t know the extent of the family dynamics. I think S. Van Horne wrote about this character beautifully and it added a detail that not many other books have done before. It isn’t all unicorns and sunshine for our leading characters. But they form this perfectly beautiful family that I absolutely loved reading about. I will say in the final few chapters, I wanted to smack the author because of the drama she put Crystal and Maddison through, but it only added to the beauty of this book.
I can’t rave about this book enough. Congrats to S. Van Horne for a wonderful book that blends her writing style and characters from Aurora Rose Reynold’s world together seamlessly. You all definitely want to pick up this book when it’s released on April 3rd! Add it to your Goodreads TBR list today!

2-2.5 stars. This book did not really work for me. This is Vigo Conti and Crystal's story. The two of them met in the past and had a night together where they felt a connection, but due to miscommunication they never spoke again. Now, months later, Crystal, who is a romance writer, has moved to Hawaii. Conti is on vacation to Hawaii with his autistic sister, over who he has guardianship. The couple run into each other again and realize pretty quickly that they had misunderstood each other the last time they met. Once they sort things out, they soon begin a rather tumultuous, dramatic relationship. There is a suspense storyline, as well, but, after that is settled, Crystal and Conti get their HEA.

This book begins with something having happened Crystal and Conti in the past, but we don't know what for quite awhile. It isn't clear and was confusing as to whether we were supposed to understand what was going on already or not. But we do finally get a flashback that explained everything. Their relationship develops really quickly after they get over their past problem and miscommunication. It felt like Conti was rushing it for no real reason. Crystal and Conti also fought a lot. It wasn't cute, like I think it was supposed to be. She even jokes about bashing him in the head with a two by four. I just didn't quite get their relationship or see why they were so quick to jump into a lifelong commitment.

There were also some other little things that bothered me that added up. Crystal calls Vigo by his last name Conti all the way through the whole book. I just thought that was strange. They were in a serious relationship by that point and it just struck me as odd to not call him by name. There are also some inconsistencies and continuity errors in the what is happening at the moment. The writing was just not very good in my opinion. The story was not bad. But with the errors and small issues above, I was not really able to connect with the couple and their relationship development.

Overall, I didn't really enjoy this book very much. But don't take my word for it. Try it for yourself as you might feel differently than me. I have enjoyed this series in general and I definitely recommend it to fans of Aurora Rose Reynolds.

3.5 Stars! Until More is my first book by S. Van Horne, and another awesome contribution to the Happily Ever Alpha Kindle World.

Summary:
Newly settled in Hawaii, Crystal Kopas finally feels like she could get a handle on her life. With the sand under her feet and the beautiful water in her vision, she feels closer to the family she lost so young. It gives her hope. Now if only her writing would get in line. She’s determined to work through a serious case of writer's block when the one man she thought she left behind and the reason for her mental block, shows up on her private beach. Detective Vigo Conti expected Hawaii to be the relaxing break he needs after a tough case. He wanted to make happy memories with his sister Maddison. He didn’t expect to face the woman who makes his body react so strongly and takes over his thoughts; the woman who disappeared before giving them a chance. But things weren't what either of them thought at all. Could this be their second chance at love and family? Will that chance be taken by the danger stalking them? To save his family, Conti may have to cross lines, with his job, he may not have otherwise crossed.

Until More had a bit of a disconnect for me when it came to the characters and dialogue. Crystal was a sweet heroine. Her story was tragic, but she remembered the happy memories, and did her best to remain as close to her past and celebrate her family as she could. Conti was all the sexy alphaness you could want. I really admired his willingness and determination to take responsibility for and care for his little sister. That made his appeal all the more. Together, Crystal and Conti had the potential to be an explosive couple. Their scenes were definitely hot, but I couldn’t quite stay invested in them. I felt I was right on the verge, but something held me back from going over. I’m not sure what, though. I think a lot of it was their misunderstanding. It just didn’t sit well with me. That said, I did like the storyline. It was fast-paced as it has to be with novellas, and sometimes rushed, but still made for a bit of danger and suspense. I do wish there could have been a bit more, though. Overall, I enjoyed this look into the More world and the return to the Until world. Meeting some of the side characters makes me want to go back and read up on the More series. Luckily, I already have them on my Kindle. ;-) I also want Roman’s story. Great job S. Van Horne! ♡

✰✰✰✰✰

The title is perfect because it left me wanting more. Don’t understand, let me explain. We all have a book(s) that have epilogues you don’t want to end and you want to know what happens after. I want to know what happen to Ralph. I want to know if they ever got Mads to stop saying sh*t. I want to know if DM gets to be a big brother. BUT, I do know that regardless of wanting more, I’m more than satisfied with the beginning, middle and end.

Conti and Crystal’s story wasn’t full of the warm and fuzzies because that’s just how life is and S. Van Horne gets that, but it was full of connection. That soul deep connection that everyone searches for. But one misunderstanding muddied that connection and turned Crystal and Conti’s view on relationships negative.

One night + One moment in time + One teenage girl who loves the word sh*t + One whirlwind love revisited + One alpha-male unwilling to let the past repeat itself = One beautiful story of togetherness and undying need and love for one another.

The story of Conti and Crystal starts at the end. You get a glimpse of what is happening at that moment in time. Then you get swept into how it all began, what made them go their separate ways and then what brought them back together.

S. Van Horne left you wanting at the end of the Prologue. She had you diving deeper into the pages to get all the answers. She gave you this unforgettable story on a silver platter. She let you in on the trials and tribulations the main characters had gone through to make them the people they became.

If you’ve read and enjoyed Aurora Rose Reynolds’ Until Series you know it’s filled with alpha-males who find their BOOMs and fight to keep them. That’s exactly what you get with Until More.

I was pulled right into this super short story. The story has naughty fun, passion, and hot steamy love.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading them first if you want the full stories of the Until series by Aurora Rose Reynolds as these novellas take place in the same series:
Until November (Until, #1)
Until Trevor (Until, #2)
Until Lilly (Until, #3)
Until Nico (Until, #4)
Until July (Until Her #1)
Until Jax (Until Him #1)
Until June (Until Her #2)
Until Ashlyn (Until Her #3)
Until Sage (Until Him #2)
Until Harmony (Until Her #4)

This is Crystal and Vigo’s story. Crystal and Vigo had one night together and they both could not forget it. She is living in Hawaii now and he comes there for a vacation. Neither knew the other would be there but it must be fate right? When disaster strikes he wants to make sure he gets her and his family back you only get one BOOM. He needs that BOOM to breath and will do everything to keep it. Can he keep Crystal or will she run away?

I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.

I feel like I am starting to sound like a broken record when it comes to the novellas in this series but what can I say, Until More is another one that I really enjoyed. The premise behind this one really caught my eye and I was excited to start it.

I loved the way that Conti made his sister his priority and how can you not fall in love with her. I understood why Crystal reacted the way she did but I also hate that she didn’t talk to Conti when she saw him again and found out the truth. For me, Until More had more of a suspense feel to it than some of the other books in this series. This is also a cross over into one of the author’s other series so it looks like I will be checking those books out as well.

Having been a fan of not only ARR I’m also a huge fan of Ms S Van Horne too. So to see these two authors worlds collide was amazing. Altho a novella there was so much happening in this book I was hooked from the beginning. I so enjoyed the way the two worlds collided and the characters we got to experience once again. I won’t spoil it for everyone but we haven’t seen these guys for awhile so it was a double bonus! Vito is a true sexy Alpha, bossy and sexy jus like the Maysons and ARR’s guys. Crystal is a sassy and sexy woman who when she first met him walked away under a cloud of misunderstanding. What follows is a beautiful love story with some harrowing events thrown in. Truly awesome story. Highly recommend this book and series
