Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain named in Liverpool’s UCL squad for knockout stages

Liverpool have included midfielder, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in its Champions League squad for the knockout stages, which is an indication that the English international could feature for the club this season.

Chamberlain had been out since April last year after suffering ruptured ligaments in his right knee and was not expected to play at all this season.

The midfielder has, however, made a remarkable recovery and had a warm-weather training camp in the Middle East last month.

Although he is not expected to play a part in Liverpool’s round of 16 two legged contest against Bayern Munich, he may feature in the latter stages of the competition, should Liverpool replicate their final appearance of last season.
