QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
GS-11: Applicants must meet one of the following to qualify for the GS-11 level: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-9 level in the Federal Service. Examples of such experience may include: negotiate terms and conditions of proposed assistance awards, award and administer grants and cooperative agreements, perform post-award administration duties such as: negotiation of assistance award modifications, tracking payments and funds balance status, negotiation of budget revisions OR a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., that is in a field of study which provided the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position OR a combination of graduate level education beyond the first 2 years of progressive graduate study and appropriate specialized experience as described above that together meet the qualification requirements for this position.
GS-12: Applicants must meet one of the following to qualify for the GS-12 level: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal Service. Examples of such experience may include: work with a large assistance program that may cover extended periods of time and involve substantial funds; perform cost analyses of proposed budgets; identify areas subject to negotiation and conduct negotiations to provide federal financial assistance to recipients within acceptable guidelines; and advise and counsel all parties involved; perform a variety of post award function which involve high level contacts.
