From International Bestseller Michelle Heard, comes a new, sexy standalone novel in the Enemies To Lovers series.

Irony - when life f@cks you over.

Jaxson

She's the one girl I can't forget.
She's as innocent as a saint, with the mouth of a sinner.
After taking her virginity, it's taken me four years to get rid of the guilt.
I used her while she was at her lowest and she's never forgiven me.

Watching my best friend die a little every day, and not being able to do anything about it, kills me.
I should've seen it coming. The second I hit rock bottom, she walks back into my life.
The f@cking irony?
She might be the only one who can save Marcus.
The life of the person who means the most to me lies in the palm of the girl I screwed.

Leigh

Hate is a strong word, but it's one I've really considered when it comes to Jaxson West. But I've settled for intensely disliking him. Asking me to forgive Jaxson is like asking me to willingly sit through a root canal.
He's heartbreakingly gorgeous, emphasis on heartbreakingly.
He's an amazing friend, just not to me.
He's supportive, understanding, caring and loving, just not to me.
No, for me he reserves his dark scowls and low growls.
I'll do everything I can to save Marcus, but I'm not doing it for Jaxson.

Jaxson West & Leigh Baxter ~ Book 3 in the Enemies To Lovers Series

This is a Stand Alone book in the Enemies To Lovers Series. Each book in the series is about a different couple. To get the full experience of their friendship I'd recommend that you start with Heartless.

It’s no secret I prefer virgin h’s and while this had it I also LOATHE books where he can have sex with countless ow but she remains celibate. If he can move on she should have been able to as well. He loved her but couldn’t keep it in his pants while she loved him but turned into a workaholic.....very unequal and unfair in my opinion!

I absolutely adore Michelle Heard's books as they always deliver. It doesnt matter what genre she writes in (contemporary, dark, suspense or mafia) I WILL read it. So when I saw she was writing a third book in the Enemies to Lovers series, I could not jump on this book fast enough! I loved Jaxson and Leigh. I thought their chemistry was hot and sexy and their connection so intense!

The author does a fantastic job painting a picture of what happened between Jaxson and Leigh and the repercussions that shaped their duture as a result. I felt Leigh and Jaxson's connection and the feelings they tried to deny years earlier but when they meet again- OMG! Hello fireworks!!! I loved their chemistry and their friendships and bonds with the rest of the "Screw Crew" and the women that brought them to their knees. Jaxson helped Leigh see past dry facts and numbers and actually feel. He touched her heart and saw past her defenses and taught her how to love. Likewise she was the only one who viscerally affected him and touched him. Gahh I loved their story!

All in this was great. I loved Marcus' story and seeing all the familiar faces from past books. Leigh and Jaxson were absolutely incredible and I seriously cannot wait for Marcus and Willow's book! Bravo! 4.5 stars!! ~Ratula

Careless (Enemies to Lovers #3)
by Michelle Heard

☆☆☆5 stars☆☆☆

Oh Jax and Leigh...how I love thee! When complete opposites collide, you get the most beautiful love story of clashing hearts! By far, my favorite of the series so far.

Jax is your typical playboy with not a care in the world, yet he hides the secrets of his past in a way that gives him the personna of a man that doesn't care about anyone or anything. So far from the truth! When he sets his sights on Leigh, his true emotions shine, in a way that's electrifying and heart melting.

Leigh is a whole different kind of person all together. She's smart as a whip, but shows little to no emotion, afraid of getting her heart and mind broken. She's a factual kind of gal, yet somehow Jax breaks through, which confuses her already fragile state.

The two of them seem like oil and water, not to be mixed, but they end up bringing out the best in each other. With the help of some amazing friends, they see a future together they didn't expect.

Added to the crew, is new friends, Sebastian and Ryan. I couldn't love these two more. When times are tough for this group, they bring the happy...and they bring it in a big way! LOVE LOVE LOVED IT!

Careless is book three in the Enemies to Lovers series. Each book can be read as a standalone as each book is about a different couple. However it’s such a great series I recommend you read Heartless and Reckless as well.

Talk about opposites attract. Jaxson and Leigh are totally opposite yet they are so good together. Jaxson hurt Leigh while in college. When they meet a few years later they’ve both changed a lot. Although they are perfect for each other Jaxson needs to break the walls that Leigh has built to protect herself.

This was a brilliant well told story that I couldn’t resist reading in one sitting. I’m looking forward to reading more from this author.

When I read how Jaxson used Leigh back in college for a stupid bet between him and his friends who were the Screw Crew, I was royally pissed off... He hurt Leigh deeply and years have passed since then and these two have changed a lot... read this to find out why...

Jaxson was an immature boy in college just like the rest of the Screw Crew guys; his twin brother, Logan, Carter, Marcus, and Rhett, and unfortunately their actions had a lot of consequences, some known and some unknown, forcing all of them to grow up and mature, especially Marcus... Can't wait to read his story as well as Rhett's.

These two have a lot to go through to reach their happily ever after. A lot of forgiveness needs to be earned, given and felt and trust needs to be built so these two who are the complete opposite of one another and at the same time, similar (they both hide their emotions to avoid getting hurt again), so they can reach their happily ever after <3

These guys have a bond that extends since very young, including making a lot of mistakes together, being immature together, screwing up together, going through hard times together, finally maturing together and now one by one falling for their forever woman and understanding how they treated girls back in college, helps them see how cruel they actually were to those girls and how life sometimes can come bite you in the butt for it... it's called Karma but fortunately, one by one, these boys learn to appreciate and hold on to their women and still maintain that friendship bond that makes them more brothers than blood brothers out there.

It's a weird but united family unit, especially with each of them finding their happily ever after with their girls' :) I can't wait for the end of this series to see all of them together with their women and hopefully children, well, Carter already has but I can't wait to see the rest as protective daddies ;) especially if they have a lot of little girls, then Karma did get them back fully ;)

Michelle Heard has written a captivating and emotional story that will keep you engrossed from the very beginning. The way she writes her story, the characters feel like friends or family and you are invested in finding out what happens. The drama and angst combined with the sizzling chemistry and deep seated feelings will make this a definite keeper. In this Enemies to Lovers series, we are introduced to the main characters of Jaxson and Leigh. I enjoyed getting a picture of what happened that caused the rift between the two and very much enjoyed watching them strive to put their relationship back to good. Jaxon is a man who tries to make out he doesn’t need Leigh but when he realizes that he does need her, he has to work to bring Leigh back to him. The emotions are so deep and make this one for the FEELS department. I don’t want to give spoilers but this, in my mind, was one of the best out of the Enemies to Lovers series stories. Do they finally get the HEA that they have missed out on for years or will they come together and make magic happen? Only way to find out is by reading this fabulous read. Jax and Leigh are awesome and I am looking forward to Marcus and Willow's book! I can tell that is gonna be a killer read…

Careless is the 3rd installment of the Enemies to lovers series.

This book is my favorite in the series so far..

Careless is Jaxson West and Leigh Baxter's story (aka Jax and Doc).

Michelle Heard made me cry, laugh and burst with love in this book. It takes you on an emotional rollercoaster.

When Leigh needed to hate someone Jax stepped up and let her hate him.

“Don’t hate me forever, Doc. Meet me in another life so I can love you without you hating me.”

The only issue with that is that by letting Leigh hate him Jax broke his own heart.
Little does he know that Leigh never hated him.

“He was supposed to make me hate him, but instead he made me fall in love with him,”

I love Miss Sebastian character, she was the loving, nurturing mother hen when they all needed her.
The crew have all grown and matured since the first book, it's great seeing how much love they have for one another. It's true what they saying says, Blood makes you related but loyalty makes you family.

The book flowed perfectly, it was flawless.

It ends at 76% then you have the excerpt from Heartless which is book 1.
Can't wait to read Ruthless book 4 in the series

The relationship and respect these characters have for one another is so awesome. I really enjoyed reading Jaxson and Leigh's story and the love they had for each other. Jax sleeps with anything that walks. Can Leigh change him? Michelle has a way with words that just draws you in. I laughed. I cried. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next book.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

GET READY FOR A JOURNEY YOU WON’T SOON FORGET. “CARELESS” IS BY FAR MY FAVORITE OF THE SCREW CREW SERIES. 5 HEART-FELT, TEAR-FILLED & EMOTIONALLY CHARGED STARS! ★★★★★

Careless is book 3 in the Screw Crew Series and is now my favorite of the series, beating out Heartless which is saying something because that blew me away. The ugly cries I had????? So many…. Lordy, I just love that…. I didn’t know if I would ever recover from the highly emotional and gut-wrenching scenes I read in the pages of this book. I cried so hard, I practically had snot running down my face which is interesting because “snot” plays a very emotional and hilarious role later in the book.

I’m not one for spoilers so I will do my very best not to write any in my review. I’ll stick to how this book made me “FEEL”. I read Careless by Michelle Horst, (Now Michelle Heard) a while ago but didn’t write a review at that time. So, I read it again to refresh my memory a few days ago.

I swear to all that is holy that I loved it even more the second time around if that’s even possible. I cried “SO FREAKING HARD”. I’ve often said that this author has the ability to spin her stories with such depth, emotion and heart and “Careless” is no different. She just keeps going deeper and deeper inside herself and pulls out the best storylines, heroes and heroines and supporting characters.

Okay, this is what I LOVE so much about this book….. Careless delivers a plethora of ooey gooey “feels” that just stick to you like the gum on the bottom of your sneaker on a hot humid day but don’t mind carrying around with you. Emotions that will have you searching for a new box of tissues over and over again….

Jaxson West and Leigh Baxter….. What a terrific pairing these two were.

The hero, Jax, is a funny, outspoken dirty talking alpha male and is sexy sexy sexy…. But Jax has baggage he’s dealing with from a difficult upbringing early on in his life. One he continues to struggle with.

The heroine, Leigh, is a heart surgeon, a cardiothoracic surgeon to be exact and is one of the youngest there is in that field. She was made for that career. Her parents are also surgeons as well. Leigh is a genius who sees things in black and white. There are no grey areas with her.
Explanations are based on facts, evidence, not supposition….ALWAYS. That way of thinking comes into play in a very personal, very big way in this book. What I love most about her is that she’s so strong and opinionated and takes no crap…. Especially from Jax. So much so that I found myself wanting to fist bump her more than once…….

Tragic circumstances have them thrown together and ripped apart in a single night. One night of unbridled passion and angst sends them on their separate ways. Both hearts ripped apart by unforeseen tragic events. Then, six years later, times of trouble are in abundance and they find themselves thrown back in each other’s lives.

Marcus is the founder of the Screw Crew and Jaxson’s best friend. Marcus and Jax have been best friends, like brothers since they were young. They share an unbreakable bond of friendship, loyalty, brotherhood and love. So much deep love. Not in a romantic way but a strong connection nevertheless…. There is NOTHING they would not do for each other.

Times of trouble are abundant in Careless. Tragedy of all kinds hit the Screw Crew and their families. Testing their resolve and faith, relationships and friendships…..

It’s during these tragedies that we meet Sebastian, the nurse who befriends Leigh at the hospital she works in. Sebastian is a beautiful soul who steals your heart and bowls you over with hilarity. When a member of their crew finds them self in a life-threatening situation, they seek out help from someone close to their hearts but miles away… Leigh……

The entire crew pulls together to fight for one of their own. A fight they are determined to win, no matter what it takes.

What happens from here, I’m not saying… But I will say this, I have never read a book/series where a group of friends stand by one another like the Screw Crew does. Unwavering strength and unforgiving forces of nature to be reckoned with if you get in there way or try and hurt one of their friends, new or old. But even during all of this uncertainty, and emotional moments, there is also so much humor.

These people take their friendships/family relationships very seriously. They always have each other’s backs. Even those who are new friends. I found myself overwhelmed in a good way, with feeling of wanting that same connection with these people. These are an extraordinary bunch of people doing extraordinary things for those they love, new and old and never ever give up hope when it feels that all hope is lost.

Can Jax and Leigh find the strength for acceptance, forgiveness and healing within each other and with those within their circle, their struggles, both personal and professional, and let the love that has consumed them for years, even apart, take them to newfound happiness? It’s just too good to tell you. I won’t ruin it for you.

We get to read about all the other members we’ve read about in the first two books. Logan, Carter and Rhett….. I just love them all.

Some hysterically funny little teasers for you that I know you will just love when you read this book involve, cross dressing chunks of hunk, a karaoke scene that will have you bawling your eyes out and laughing at the same time, a cemetery scene that is both gut-wrenching and hilarious, a sponge bath like no other and a little girl named Danny with a penchant for soothing someone in a time of need and for avoiding “snot”.

I’ve read each book in the series so far and have loved them all. Heartless and Reckless are the first two books and I would recommend reading them first. Get in on the fun and get to know the “Screw Crew” by grabbing your copy of Careless TODAY! This series is a top pick for me for 2018.

Even though I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book, I also purchased my own copy to support the author and this absolutely FANTASTIC book that just threw me into a tailspin of emotions. Up next: Book 4, Ruthless…. Looking forward to reading Marcus & Willow’s story. ️ ♥

From the very first book in this series I've fallen in love with all the characters. at the end of Reckless I was a mess and patiently waiting for Jaxson and Leighs story. I just knew it was going to give me with all feels.
when Tragic hits Leigh and she finds herself in Jaxson's arms. Jaxson has his own demons to fight and it's just the wrong time for them.
The bond between Marcus and Jaxson will bring you too tears and make you laugh as well.
Can't wait to see what else the screw crew has in store for us.

CARELESS is book 3 in the ENEMIES TO LOVERS SERIES by Michelle Heard (formerly Horst). This is a standalone book as the other two released books in the series: #1 HEARTLESS & #2 RECKLESS. Each book is a complete story about a different couple. It is recommended that to get the full experience of their close friendships, that you start by reading the two prior books. They all end with a HEA plus no cliffhangers.

CARELESS is the unconventional love story of Jaxson West and Leigh Baxter. Their first encounter is rather a clash of two complete opposites. They exchange insults and nothing nice between them was said. Leigh is the only child of two of the most admired cardiothoracic surgeons in the country. She was set in following in their footsteps. She was a genius that graduated high school at thirteen, and finished pre-med studies by nineteen. Her parents wanted her to take a break before starting up with more studies to become the youngest cardiothoracic surgeon. She has been sheltered all her life. Never interacted with boys her own age. Nor had she dated.

Leigh begrudgingly has taken time off from her studies to visit her friend Willow Brooks. She has been warned off the crew of five guys that are part of the gang that Willow hangs out with. Staying home alone when Willow goes out, she gets the worst news that shatters her entire life. Running in search of Willow, but it is Jaxson she finds. It is Jaxson she clings to, and he comforts her the only way he knows how. She can only feel the heart-breaking pain of the moment, and he makes her feel something other then the gut-wrenching pain. She knows she only has one chance with Jaxson to take the edge off her harsh reality before being forced to face it alone. He does take her back to wait for her father. When he pulls away, and their eyes meet, she realizes the kiss was a goodbye.

Six long years pass before Jaxson and Leigh cross paths once more. Marcus is dying, and Jaxson can't let that happen. The Crew will do anything to save him. Leigh becomes his best chance of living. Jaxson still thinks about her and wishes they had met under different circumstances. He knew he should have stayed with her and was stupid to push her away when she needed him most. She remembers him so well, too. Is it too late!?!

4.5 Stars to Careless by Michelle Heard.

Careless is the third book in the Enemies to Lovers series by Michelle heard. I was lucky enough that the opportunity arose that I was able to read books one and two, Heartless and Reckless back to back. That was recently so I did not have to wait very long for Careless. Thank goodness because I was dying for Jax and Leigh’s story. All the men and women thus far featured in this series have dark pasts which paint the picture for a wary future. They hesitate to trust, to give them selves over to someone and become vulnerable. Jax, who is no different than the rest of the "Screw Crew," doesn't believe in relationships or commitments. This book begins four years prior, and gives us some insight on how Jax and Leigh knew each other.
That part of the book was heartbreaking. But then there were also some intense and heartbreaking moments throughout the entire book.

Leigh is now a cardiac surgeon. And if you read books one and two, you know that she will play a huge role in one particular man’s life. While Leigh has gone her own way over the past four years, she is not happy to be thrust back into Jax’s life all while trying to save another’s.

Jax made a huge mistake with Leigh four years ago. He is adamant that he will not live with the regret of losing Leigh another day. The love story in Careless is intense. I also found it sweet and endearing. I was engaged from page one and the author kept my interest throughout.

I loved this book and I love this series. While each book can be read as a standalone, I don’t recommend you read them out of order. Although each book does focus on the relationship of a specific H/h, all the characters grow and develop throughout.

Careless was a steadily paced book for me and I devoured it in one sitting. If I had any complaints it would be that I have to wait for the next book to release in order to continue with Marcus and Willow’s story. I have a feeling that Marcus will have his hands full trying to win over Willow. They have had a back-and-forth relationship for years. A woman can only take so much when she is constantly pushed away. I’m curious to see how that will play out.

If you haven’t yet read this series, I recommend it.

This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. :)

So I’m majorly behind on this series and delved into book #3 in a hope to pick up this series and fall head over heels with Jaxson and Leigh (aka Doc) and boy, did I!

I think it shows the authors talent that I didn’t feel “out the loop” and able to pick up the story as I did without having read the first two stories (Needless to say, I will be catching up on the first two now!) after such a blinder of a story.

Jaxson has to be one of my all time favourite book men. He’s not an alpha by any means, but I think that makes him all the more endearing. He’s sweet, considerate (well six years on!) and openly shows his emotions and love for those around him. The people who count, he loves without question.

Excerpt:
If our love is worth the pain of death shouldn’t we at least fight for it?

Well, there’s no words for Jaxson West - “the enigma with the body of an angel and the soul of the devil”....other than wow!

Leigh is the other half to Jaxson and known as Doc for her speedy introduction to medicine and career as a doctor (just like her parents), her grief over losing her mother makes her all the more vulnerable. Having closed her heart off for fear of breaking her heart through loss, Jaxson reopens it and shows her heart-over-head is most definitely the way to be...

Excerpt:
My entire life I’ve been obsessed with the heart. I wanted to know everything about it. I wanted to conquer it, but instead, it conquered me.

After loving this author for her darker reads, I was sceptical I would enjoy this side of her writing but I’m already itching to read the first two books in this series. Her talent once again shines through and I simply adored this story.

I am loving this series.

From the very first book you get the idea that this group of boys aren't just friends, they are a tight knitted group who support each other and love each other and although in book one we saw the screw crew in action and the reputation these guys had with the girls, Years later each book now shows their maturity and how life has changed for all of them, all except the bond they share with each other.

Jaxson was a manwhore, a major A hole with girls, he first met Leigh when she was just 19 and about to start her residency as a Doctor. Their chemistry was instant their love hate relationship was also instant and their connection infinite.

Jaxson may have been an A hole but he knew he wasn't the right guy for her then, not when she was about to embark on an important part of her life but years later their paths cross again and this time Jaxson isn't letting Leigh go.

I loved this story, I loved the emotional roller-coaster and Loved all these characters. I have looked forward to each one of these books and I am now looking forward to Willow and Marcus's story.

I suppose the message behind this story is people change, love makes people change and you can't escape destiny.

Careless has it's hot sizzling moments, is told in first person dual pov, starts with the past then brings you to the present, you also get glimpses of other characters in this series.

Can be read as a standalone but I advise reading from the beginning to get a better idea where it all began and how these hot young guys with many lessons to learn became panty melting men.

Jaxson & Leigh!!!!

Where do I even start?!

Jaxson was everything I was hoping he would be!!!!!

Underneath all his bullshit and bravado was this amazing man, resilient enough to love those around him with a fierceness he was never shown in his teenage years!

The way he was able to be the person Leigh needed at the exact time she needed him was perfect!

I adored the side of Jaxson that saw in Leigh a person who complimented him, he saw all the beautiful intricacies that came with loving a woman with an off the charts high IQ and a quirky direct manner that some people wouldn't understand!

But he did!

He just understood what made Leigh tick and it was so poignant and heart breaking to read!

This story was beautiful!

I adored every word I was able to devour!

The way the Michelle Horst is able to bring together a group of characters and; even when they are not the main focus of the book, give them all such a sense of importance for the relevance of the story was brilliant!

Marcus has pretty much stolen my heart from the get go but all these boys in the 'Screw Crew' have managed to steal a small piece for themselves as well!

Written to perfection this is a series that I will come back to and re-read again and again!

There is so much depth to these characters and these stories themselves that you won't be able to resist falling in love with them all!

Hook line and sinker - I am addicted to this series and this author!!!!!!!!!!

Dual love story..

There are several people involved in the relationship that unfolds within these pages; it is definitively two love stories but the love involved whilst every bit as powerful is also very different...

The premise is unique in many ways although fundamentally it is an enemies to lovers theme.. Jaxon and Leigh have a bad history and when they are forced to interact after a break of five years...a happy ever after is not on the cards...I loved the relationship between these two and I found myself increasingly invested in their story as their characters developed.. but here’s the thing ...whilst there is no doubt that Jaxon and Leigh are destined for each other there is another love story in the shape of the men of the Screw Crew being played out in this book...it may be bromance but it is no less beautiful and compelling...

This is my favourite so far of this series and the Screw Crew keep pulling me in making me want to know them better...on the surface they are a privileged and arrogant group but through the course of the series the truth begins to surface and their love and compassion begins to shine through... "I'm lost because we'll never be together even though she feels like home. We'll only end up destroying each other the same way my parents did. I can't do that to her. She deserves so much more."

Jaxson and Leigh have a pull towards each other, but not the way you may think. I loved how put off she was towards him in the beginning, and that you would never think it would progress to anything more than just banter. Crisis after crisis, years pass, and they are thrown together and the results are enough to make you swoon!! The change in Jaxson is sweet, heart-warming, and dare I say, unexpected!! I loved these two together!

"Jaxson West-the enigma with the body of an angel and the soul of the devil."

When I wasn't swooning over this couple discovering each other all over again, or worrying myself to death about another character's crisis, I laughed my tail off at some new secondary characters introduced that I had a blast reading. I laughed, I sighed, and I smiled!! I thank the Author for providing a copy to review!

"We pour everything into the kiss. Our past, our present, and our future. We kiss the pain away and make promises we'll never break..."

More drama from the ‘Screw Crew’ with this third instalment in Michelle’s Enemies to Lovers series. ‘Careless’ sees, sweet innocent child genius Leigh Baxter go head to head with love ‘em and leave ‘em Jaxson West. Spanning over a number of years we follow them from their first meeting when Leigh is still a teenager through to their second meeting a number of years later when Leigh has finally qualified for her heart’s desire (literally). I love enemies to lovers and Michelle has nailed this. Jaxson is a complete a$$hole and Leigh is the perfect girl to put him in his place. With some emotional scenes involving some of the previous book characters. This can be read as a standalone, but it would be such a shame to miss out on all the wonderful that comes beforehand. I received an advanced copy of this book from the author. This is my honest review.

Expect for this story to stick with you for a while, Careless was a story about love, forgiveness, and second chances. Careless is about two souls who find themselves when they least expect it, it’s about realizing that love will always be there no matter what you tell yourself.

In this story we meet Jaxson West and Leigh Baxter, these two are so different from each other, they some together in a time where they don’t realize they need someone. While Jaxson thinks he ruins Leigh, Leigh thinks Jaxson used her. These two are perfect for each other, their road to love was amazing. They had to learn and start from the beginning, they had to fight to see what love really is.

This book was more than just a love story, it was about finding yourself, it was about never giving up on not only love but also life. This is a must read for those looking for a good story.

This is the third book in the Enemies to Lovers series and this can definitely be read as a standalone, but I strongly recommend starting with book one and going from there in order to be able to get a better idea of who all of the characters are since they're all introduced earlier in the series.

This is Jaxson and Leigh's story and it's quickly become my personal favorite of the series so far. Jaxson hurt Leigh in a big way in the past and to say she holds a grudge against him because of it would be a huge understatement. Now fate has placed them both in a difficult and extremely interesting situation and I loved watching everything unfold.

I'm not going to give anything away here, but will say that I'm especially pleased with the way things worked out. I am a huge fan of enemies to lovers stories and this author does them well. I highly recommend reading this entire series to anyone.

OMG! This book is the best by far in the series!
Jax and Leigh, both hurt by what happed in their lives but all to soon they hurt each and six year later Leigh is here to try an save Jax's best friends Marcus who is dying. What she doesn't know is that she'll fall for Jax all over again!
Will Jax and Leigh find their happily ever after or will Leigh walk away again?
To find out you need to read this book and you won't be disappointed!!

Careless is book 3 in the Enemies to Lovers series by Michelle Heard. And I’d you’re looking for an opposites attract book then this book is for you! The drama and angst will suck right it! Loved it!

Jax, like the rest of the screw crew, doesn’t believe in relationships. After 4 years without Leigh in his life, he’s determined to get her back

I loved that Jax wasn’t the typical alpha male, although he had his moments.

Leigh has protected her heart and worked her way through med school and now she’s home and determined to stay away from Jax.
These two have amazing chemistry, and so far are my favorite couple from this series.

Can’t wait for the next book in this series!

Jax and Leigh light up the pages in Careless. A second chance romance, Careless is so easy to fall in love with.

Leigh is a strong woman, but frightened. Love is an unknown and she prefers to deal with facts. She’s intelligent and a well rounded character. Jax is swoon worthy. He was romantic and I loved his focus on Leigh.

Overall, Careless was a great read. It was paced a bit slow, but it didn’t detract from my enjoyment. It can be read as a standalone, however, now I want to read the earlier books! The characters are developed, and fun to get lost with.

I’m loving this series which deals with a group of interconnected books each book is about a new couple.

Jaxson and Leigh are so cute together despite their very different personalities they just work. Leigh has her life planned she’s going to be a surgeon and takes a very pragmatic look at life. Jaxson is a total manwhore when we first meet him but I liked him he’s sweet funny and vulnerable.

The story is very emotional as we follow the continuing issues regarding Marcus who’s story I can’t wait for.

With each book, I love this series more. And I swear, before even starting I was sure there was no way Jaxson will own me. I may like him, I may even love him some, but he will not own me. I wanted to slap the smirk off Jaxson more than once and then bam, he robs me of my damn heart. You realize he's so much more, when he let's you in. And here I thought Carter will be the sole owner of my heart. Jaxson is one sneaky bastard. Be warned.

An emotional and intense story! This series just keeps getting better! I loved the instant attraction between Jaxson and Leigh, even when they fought it. They say opposites attract, and they certainly are right sometimes. Jaxson and Leigh are definitely opposites, but they do have one thing in common. They are both loyal to their friends and family. Can Leigh forgive Jaxson for an incident in their past, or will they always be enemies?
