Matthew James Carter appeared in provincial court in Corner Brook on Friday during which the details of a release plan for the 34-year-old were outlined.
Carter has been in custody since February when he was charged with unlawfully luring a child under the age of 16 by means of a computer system and unlawfully making sexually explicit material available to a child under 16.
Up to now he had not sought bail.
During the appearance his lawyer, Sandi MacKinnon, told Judge Wayne Gorman that Carter was willing to abide by the conditions outlined in the plan.
In addition to not being allowed to access the Internet, Carter must also keep the peace and be of good behaviour, regularly report to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary and to make regular contact with his surety. He must also abide by a curfew to remain in his residence between the hours of 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Carter is not allowed to have any contact with anyone under the age of 16 unless in the presence of another adult. He also had to pledge a $500 cash deposit.
Carter is to return to court on Sept. 16.
