Murillo: “We have to keep working hard with humility, we’ll get what we deserve”

The Colombian centre-back is getting closer to a return, and he’s been proud watching the team from the stands

Little by little, his return is getting closer. Jeison Murillo has suffered since he was injured on November 19th against RCD Espanyol, it isn’t easy to watch the games from the stands without being able to help your teammates, but despite being knocked out one step from the Copa del Rey final, he is “proud of this team. We have to keep working hard with humility, we’ll get what we deserve”.

Marcelino’s Valencia CF compete in every game right til the end, they give everything on the pitch and although in some games the result doesn’t go their way, like on Thursday, in the dressing room they are aware that they’re on the right path. The six consecutive defeats, the analysis of which reveals, as Marcelino says, that “we’re not far off our opponents, but it’s not quite enough” won’t cause any doubts in the group, who are excited about having got so close to the final without ever giving up.

Marcelino has said that “now we’ll try to get our absent players back” and one of them is Jeison Murillo. With the injury of Ezequiel Garay, who this Friday will undergo tests to determine the extent of the injury, Marcelino has Rubén Vezo and Gabriel Paulista available for the game on Sunday against Levante UD, as Murillo is, theoretically, not quite ready to return, although he can’t wait to get out on the pitch again.
