The Serbian striker posed for the first time with his new team's jersey, but fans had their eyes on a specific issue during the ceremony.

Real Madrid fans have been treated with the unveiling of their first transfer ahead of the 2019-20 campaign. Striker Luka Jovic stepped on Santiago Bernabeu's pitch for the first time ever, wearing the new white kit with gold trim.

Even if fans were delighted to see him, some of them did notice Real Madrid's intention not to give away what's next for the team in the transfer window. Jovic was unveiled without a number on his jersey, maybe as a sign of respect for the players that are still under contract but are set to leave the club this summer.

Jovic strikes a pose with his brand new Real Madrid jersey.

Up to ten players are expected to end their contracts with Real Madrid this summer, including Gareth Bale, Lucas Vázquez and Keylor Navas, to name a few. Others like Marcelo, Isco and Marco Asensio have been linked to possible deals, while players such as James Rodríguez, Mateo Kovacic and Martin Odegaard don't seem to have a spot in Zidane's overhaul, which means that Florentino Pérez and Co. will try to cash in on their sales.

Here's another look at Jovic's first moments as a Real Madrid player.

On Thursday, Eden Hazard will have his first encounter with Real Madrid fans. Let's see if the most expensive player in the ongoing summer transfer window is also unveiled without a number on his jersey.
